Splinterlands Warlord - leasing an army for success.

Leasing a Splinterlands army for profit, or how I became a warlord in my Splinterlands universe.

All joking aside, does it work or will I be wasting my money? πŸ™„

I had that question lingering in the back of my head when I decided to "do something" about it 😣

Obviously, I needed to be able to make money off of the investment, so I started with renting for just one day and limited myself to one splinter. That way I got the parameters under control as best I could.

First; I researched. Which single card or two cards would lift my performance in one splinter, that was the main question πŸ‘ˆ

Next; I chose a splinter matching the daily Splinterlands Quest and found two cards that I thought would best support my performance in this splinter.

Third; I played out my Battles, only choosing the quest of the day whenever it seemed appropriate. A month-long learning curve has taught me not to choose the Quest in every battle as it will result in too many forced choices and consequently too many defeats. This strategy immediately rewarded me with a 7-streak winning as opposed to the 8-streak loss the day before.

As can be seen in the daily DEC income from battles, I more than made up for the renting cost in increased winnings, so I can only recommend leasing your own Splinterlands army on a daily basis. Even if only for increased daily earnings πŸ€‘ 😎

When I have been doing this exercise for a few weeks in different splinters, I will be looking at the success rate and - if appropriate - make further decisions about purchase vs. leasing, timeframe for leasing, and so on.

ECONOMIC SPECIFICS:
β€’ I ended up paying just shy of 85 DECs for two cards.
β€’ My earnings MORE THAN DOUBLED on Day 8 (the day I leased my army) as shown on the graph, in comparable terms to the days before πŸ’²πŸ’²
β€’ One caveat is that I went from Silver-2 to Silver-1 and stayed there (something I haven't tried before), but that cannot have resulted in more than a fraction of the winnings, and even if it did, the cards I purchased had a direct effect on my ability to stay in a higher league.

In summation:
β€’ I had a successful trial run, I made more money - instantly
β€’ I had fun - winning is so much more fun πŸ˜‹πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜†
Now I set my goals a little higher, aiming for Gold-3 or Gold-2 and try to work out a strategy for getting there, and staying there.
