Splinterlands: Newbie to Rich? ( First day of playing Splinterlands ) (REPOSTED: reason below)

avatar

This is my first day of playing Splinterlands and first time in blockchain games period. This is also my first blogpost so give some love and please bare my grammar.

At first I'm skeptical about these types of games that you play. What type of games am I talking about you might ask? Games like Splinterlands and Axie Infinity that I think are blockchain games. Personally, I am not the type of person that should be talking about these stuff because I am new in crypto. I just want to try it out because of the hype and boom and Axie Infinity and don't want to be left out.

Enough about the reason I play, lets talk about my experience playing it. My first time playing this game I am so confused because I don't really play card games, my preferred genres of games are shooters. Splinterlands seems complex but it is to get into. Like they said, "Games that are easy to play but hard to master is addicting" ( That is a made up quote... I think). There are different types of cards and strategy to win games but my deck is still the started deck that is given for free. And because my deck is a starter, my builds are experimental and winrate is trash. I mean give me some slack, this is my first day of playing. Also, I'm hardstuck bronze because there is a power limit or something? I don't know really know I'm so confuse. About getting rich, my first day is a slow start but this is expected to these types of games.

If you got some tips for me, please let me know. Tips like builds in novice and lower bronze and monster I should invest to win more I would really appreciate it. Thanks for reading this post. Appreciate y'all

P.S. I just copied and paste this because I want to make my Splinterland account and Blogging account to be the same. If i violated some rules please let me know.

The "Power" limit comes from the amount of cards (and level of the cards) that you own as you need a minimum amount of power for each tier level.

I am a relative newbie too - and it would have taken ages to play enough to buy enough cards to get out of bronze. But then I discovered that you can rent cards.

They are very cheap and start from as little as $0.001 per day per card (that is 1 DEC per card per day). Within 36 hours I had "won" enough games to cover the DEC costs of renting cards for a week. Plus, with the cards I had rented I had enough power to get into the silver league (and you also earn more DEC per win in the higher leagues, along with 2 cards per daily quest, etc). I would really recommend that you have a look at this. Worst case I would just rent out a "Goblin Mech" for a short period. It will help you in your current league and will let you work out if renting is for you.

The URL below is the article I wrote about renting cards in case you want to read more.
