Splinterlands Occasional Amazing Battle -L0se All Abilities Mim0 Sucker Void Strategy

The 'go to' strategy for 'lose all abilities' is a plus one magic summoner and then pounding magic attacks, with as much of a tank as you can spare.

HOWEVER, lose all abilities applies to monsters and not summoners, and so I thought I'd try opting for Mimosa 'sucker strategy' to reduce enemy damage, anticipating the usual Water and magic attack, and it worked!

Here's an example of a battle where I won pretty convincingly using this strategy against what I'd say is an equally matched opponent.

You can see my opponent all revved up with those MASSIVE magic attacks, probably licking his lips in anticipation of victory, but NO, those magic attacks are all worth 2 each only, and look at his health, all quite low, suckers for my 5 total damage.

The other part of my strategy is the cube first, then two low mana monsters to soak, and by putting them after the cube, you might luck out with them attacking - put them first and second and they're too slow, and will be killed straight away.

The other advantage of having a couple of low health monsters is the chicken may only have one health, but will soak up 2 damage.

Here's the state of play at the beginning of round three - and it's already obvious I'm going to win...

Besides the 'place low health monsters' first trick and a little bit of luck around which monster goes first if they have the same speed, lose all abilities is then just the crudest math in the game - it's simply a matter of having more damage per round compared to health of your opponent's monsters.

Of course there are weaknesses. Had my opponent played more ranged attacks, it might have been a different story, but there's satisfaction winning by suckering someone through anticipating their strategy!

NB one doesn't always get this right, and I've been suckered like this plenty of times before, by playing to the ruleset and someone else countering!

And you can see that by round three, once you factor in void reducing all attacks to 2 damage, there is no way my opponent is going to take out that Prismatic energy before I've got in two rounds of five damage, and at least one of his attacks is going to be wasted on my chicken.
