The firs thing that I work on after all what you see in the previous post, is the part of the tail, and I did that with illustrator, although it is not very manipulable in 3D, but I find this part of the original very interesting.


Lo prime en lo que trabaje después de todos lo que ven en el post anterior, es la parte de la cola, y eso lo hice con illustrator, aunque no es muy manipulable en el 3D, pero me parece muy interesante esta parte del original.

Later I began to make these species of fins that he has on his head. I had planned to do this as the tail, but as I said before, the vectors are not very manageable for this job.


Posteriormente comencé a realizar estas especies de aletas que tiene en la cabeza. esto lo tenia pensado hacer como la cola, pero como dije antes, los vectores no son muy manejables para este trabajo.

The next step was to make what the hair looks like, I worked with curves, like some parts of the previous images, it is quite comfortable to work with curves, although when there are many things get confusing hahaha, although this is not the case .


El siguiente paso fue hacer lo que parece el cabello, esto lo trabaje con curvas, igual que algunas partes de las imágenes anteriores, es bastante cómodo trabajar con curvas, aunque cuando son muchas las cosas se ponen confusas jajaja, aunque este no es el caso.

Then I worked with the clothes, it was one of the things that complicated the most, for the shirt I started with a plane giving it the base shape, then I used fabric simulation, applied it and sculpted to accommodate the errors, the skirt was very easy already I only made a kind of cone with some very close vertex unions to give that aspect in the folds, fix some vertices so that they do not move in the simulation and then apply it.


Luego trabaje con la ropa, fue una de las cosas que mas se me complicaron, para la camisa comencé con un plano dándole la forma base, luego use simulación de tela, lo aplique y esculpí para acomodar los errores, la falda fue muy fácil ya que solamente hice una especie de cono con algunas uniones de vértices muy cercas para das ese aspecto en lo pliegues, fijas algunos vértices para que no se muevan en la simulación y luego aplicarla.

The last step was working with the textures.
When painting the sculpture I made it difficult for myself, I painted the entire sculpture with the color that is used less and it took more than necessary, hehe.


El ultimo paso fue trabajar con las texturas.
Pintando la escultura yo mismo me complique, pinte toda la escultura del color poco dominante y tarde mas tiempo del que tenia que tardar jeje.

Ah forgot to mention that for the environment I used some things with which I had already worked, as you can see in the background is the chest that I made a few days ago.

Came out alright :)

Do you know how to use nodes? Think this could have done with some very light patterning so it looks slightly less like a plastic model (unless that was the look you were going for in which case this is perfect as is).

Love the underwater scene too :)

The truth is that because of the rush I did not move anything in the nodes, I also thought that the fish have that type of reflection. but sometimes I invent a little to see what comes out hahaha.

I like it with a tiny bit of subtle texture. But how do you feel about it? :)

I feel that I should learn more about blender hahaha, and although I feel that, the result always ends up liking me, but I also feel that it could have been better.
But I can't spend so much time on a single post, these characters take between 10 and 20 hours to do, sometimes something gets complicated for me.
Thanks for the therapy hahaha.
