A tale of a Saturday spent playing Splinterlands
@SHARKMONSTERS: Dragon quest
On a related note, isn't it funny that Selena Sky was the card everyone complained about being OP? Ah, the good old days.
@sharkmonsters made it to Diamond first!
If you read a post made earlier today, you might remember that I said my goal for this weekend was to get both @sharkmonsters and @ts-goblin to Diamond. It'll be harder to win battles after crossing that barrier, but that's okay.

It's been a while since I've been in the Diamond league playing as myself. If you don't know the story, I used to have a pretty high-powered deck of cards and would compete in the Champion league. I never made it to first place, but I finished in the top ten.
The problem is, right after I finished my quest, I dropped below Diamond III again. Then I sunk a little bit lower. Before claiming my rewards, ==I wanted to climb my way back up again.== That's a theme for my Splinterlands journey. I had a great collection once and made it into the top ten, but then I foolishly let it all go and had to start from scratch.
More like tales of failure!
- I tried to get back to Diamond III before claiming my quest rewards, but I eneded up a lot closer to Gold I again. I kept trying for a while, but eventually I decided to give up and just hope I have better luck with the rewards.
==Note that this is why I have the audacity to post this to LeoFinance. I hope it's okay.==

@TS-GOBLIN: QUEST FOR DEATH
Death quests are a lot easier as @sharkmonsters than as @ts-goblin. Playing both of them is beneficial in that I'm familiar with many strategies. I have to use different ones for each account because the collections are pretty difficult.
After several losses and no wins toward the quest, I killed the death quest and try for something better. THe new ones that are just sneak or snipe quests are my favorite.
@TS-GOBLIN: NEUTRAL QUEST
After the roll of the dice, it turns out I'm now on a neutral quest. Those aren't as easy as the snipe or sneak ones, but you only have to win three in order to complete the quest. That's nice. It's just really hard to not throw the furious chicken in every time. I really hope that, at some point, there are far more filtering options on our collections during team selection. It would be nice to not even see any neutral cards when you want to avoid using them, for example.
Ironically, the next battle after I switched to a new quest, I played the Death Splinter and won. Life is kinda cool sometimes.
This neutral quest wasn't too bad. I finished it just short of Gold I, so I played until I made it back to that level.
@TS-GOBLIN got much better rewards than @SHARKMONSTERS!
- Everyone likes getting gold cards!
- That's a lot of cards. It reminds me of the olden daze.
- Too bad all of these get burned for DEC because it's a #TeamShare account.
