What a day to start on Splintertalk! Hey guys!

G'day everyone!

As a way to introduce myself i thought i would give a bit of backstory into how i ended up here in the first place. I was originally a big whale in the original 2017/8 dump and was riding high before the crash with all sorts of crazy gains from various things (most were in the BitConnect style family) I was on Steem back then and also did a fair bit of arbitrage trading with crypto. Cut a long story short i lost pretty much all of it with bad life events going on at the time along with a number of scams and i thought i was just about done with crypto.

Enter blockchain gaming - my two favourite things mixed together - It was enough to bring me back to crypto world and ever since i have been playing a heap of BC games with a P2E aspect since early 2020. Im a mythic player in Gods Unchained, grinded like crazy in Lost Relics and have put time into Splinterlands without getting serious.

The problem i had was that i had no clue which of all the BC games was going to take off. I should also mention i didn't buy Axies @ $5 each because of the gas! FML!

I came across Splinterlands thanks to @costanza with his cool deal to help people get started last year sometime and have tried ever since to just play my daily quest, rack up cards as i get good prices and try to build a collection. Its probably when the renting update came out that i began to realise perhaps Splinterlands is the one about to go ballistic and it has!

As far as my playing experience goes im now toiling away in Gold League with some decent rented cards with Yodin being my go to more often than not. I can get to around 2500 power or so as my high point but im pushing to go higher if i can.

As a promise to myself i am in now with Splinterlands for sure. Its become strangely more addictive as i played it longer whereas i thought it might go the other way. Accumulating cards and trying to put together a decent team is fantastic and i am committing to trying to put up diary/blog posts to keep myself accountable.

GOALS
I want to build up 100K collection power myself without rentals

Really need a guild to join - need one that is active and i can participate (there is a whole extra part of this game i havent touched yet)

Collect more of the cards i want at a decent price point - i own these babies! (Cornelius is super good for bronze and silver!)

Keep going with my trading on Splinterlands cards - i have a bit of a system for finding undervalued cards that has worked to this point. It might coincide with the pump in the game but there are certain opportunities to be found sometimes when scouring the market.

Anyway all i will see you in game, fingers crossed i make sure i put a few posts up a week with my progress! I'll make sure i put up some posts about my other BC endeavours also!
