RE: Splinterlands Basics #1 Battle Mechanics

I invite quite a few of my real life friends to playing Splinterlands first, before introducing them to the actual hive blog itself.
I find that a card game might give them a better first expression of the Hive Blockchain.

But from my experience, the hardest thing always seems to be explaining the core mechanics of Splinterlands. (not the behind the scenes workings, but the actual gameplay itself)

So I am trying to make a list of guides to share with my friends as I invite them to play Splinterlands (So I kind of am doing this for myself, aswell as for others :D )
