My top 5 healers

avatar

Welcome to my blog on this wonderful day. Today, we'll be discussing some of my favourite healers in Splinterlands. Have you noticed that monsters with healing ability tend to be more expensive than their class counterpart? This is particularly true for those that have "inborn" healing ability. Consider the Common Crustecian King and it's $0.18 price tag that places it in the typical price range of a rare monster.

Today's post will focus solely on monsters that heal other monsters: that is healing the tank or triage(healing monster that has taken most damage in the backline). Naturally, these monster could technically heal themselves if the need arises but they're not fundamentally self healers.

I'll be counting down my top five favourite healers in the game and explaining why I rate them so highly. Without wasting time, let's get to it.

5. Wood Nymph

Kicking off the list, we have the Wood Nymph from the Earth Splinter. She's a naturally born healer that comes with +1 magical attack. At $0.023, she's one of the cheapest healers around but that's because she's a reward card. She heals the friendly tank and at a higher level, she also increases the health of all friendlies.

4. Mermaid Healer

Also, another "naturally born" healer and is part of the water splinter. She's an epic promo card and is quite rare. Her Triage ability allows her to heal the friendly monster that has taken the most damage in the back line. She's an epic monster that currently costs around $0.98 for a single copy and at level 3, she offers magic damage on top of her healing.

3. Scale Doctor

image.png
Yet another Triage style user in level 1 and then some more perks at higher level. In terms of healing and repairing, I think this monster sits at the top of the game but it doesn't get top spot because of a few limitations.

First of all, it is a legendary dragon monster, making it a tad bit expensive at $2.5 per copy. Secondly, it is also limited in terms of attack since it only adds that +1 ranged attack and is very slow.

With that said, a maxed out Scale doctor will be a thorn to play against when combined with the right monsters. It repais shields, heals the backline and also reduces opponent's shield.

2. Beetle queen

Pretty weird that the top two spots aren't occupied by naturally born healers but hey, it is what it is. The Beetle Queen grew on me mostly because fire splinter is my favourite of the lot. She gets healing ability at level 5, with a pretty decent +2 magic damage, which I usually increase with Delwyn.

The beetle queen is a reward card that you can get for as low as $0.09, making her even cheaper than the common Crustecean king. At higher level, she also boosts melee.

1. Tortisian Chief

image.png

This epic Neutral monster that costs $0.84 per copy tops the list. It takes the top spot because it can be used with any Splinter but most of all because unlike other healers who become a liability in battle, this one can also do decent damage.

It gets healing ability in level 4 and by then, it also offers +2 magic damage and +3 speed. Without the healing ability, it is a decent combatant, and so the healing just becomes the icing on the cake.

Get In The Game

If you enjoyed this post and would like to join the game, you can join with my affiliate link below and we'd both stand the chance of getting a gold foiled legendary monster that could be worth like $100

I have some of those, but not seen them all. I have levelled up my Crustacean King so he adds armour too. I have a gold Mermaid Healer that is my most valuable card. With the self-healing Water cards she can really help. I am missing healers in some splinters though.

If you can get a level 4 Tortisian Chief, you'll solve the problem. It's neutral and costs only 6 mana.

Looks like that might cost about $20 right now. I'd have to save up as I'm not putting much money into the game.

Are you going to buy some land next month? I am not totally sure what we will gain from that, but I may get some anyway.

The land expansion of the game will come with some new perks. You can build structures and mine certain items that will be used in battle or sold to people that don't have land.
Buying Land sort of unlocks a game inside the game.

I'm going to keep like 50k DEC for all the land related stuff.

I'll be interested to see how quickly it sells. Getting these things right is not easy.

Great collection of healers. I also love the Crustacean King (Water), as it is low mana and gives extra Shield to all monsters. And it was an Alpha edition monster and I love my Alpha cards. :-)

The alpha version is a hot cake these days. There's been renewed interest in alpha cards as a whole lately.

Thanks for sharing! - @yonilkar

I'm a fan of Mermaid healer and Tortisian Chief, those too are so cool on the battlefield but wood nymph is necessary almost each battle.
