Splinterlands Battle - A Battle with Mantoid.

I'm attending the weekly battle challenge of splinterlands.
This week's theme was Mantoid.

Mantoid is a untamed monster in neutral splinter. This is a monster with ranged attack and some nice abilities.

This can level up to level 10 but for that I need a summoner of higher level also.
I don't have a summoner that's in higher level so I tried this monster on level 1 with my level 1 death summoner.

Power: This is a nice card with 2 ranged attack, 2 speed and 5 health in level 1.

Abilities:

Snipe Ability:
Targets enemy monsters with ranged, magic or no attack that are not in the first position

This ability can be found at level 1.

Snare Ability:
When attacking enemies with flying, removes the flying ability and cannot miss.

This ability can be found at level 6.

Battle Detail:
I played with death monster team.

It was a battle of total 17 mana with one rule and that is-
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

HAUNTED SPIRIT: DEATH MONSTER

Rarity: Rare
Element: Death
Attack: Melee
ABILITIES: Heal at level 1, Magic reflect at level 4, Void at level 7.

This is a death monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (2), Speed (2), Health (7).

It has one ability in the 1st level which is-
Heal: Restores a portion of the monster's health each round.
And another ability in the fourth level which is-
Magic Reflect: When hit with magic damage does reduced magic damage back to the attacker.
And another ability in the seventh level which is-
Void: Reduced damage from magic attacks.

FURIOUS CHICKEN: NEUTRAL MONSTER

Rarity: COMMON
Element: NEUTRAL
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: ENRAGE AT LEVEL 5

This is a neutral monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (0), Speed (1), Health (1).

It has one ability in the fifth level which is-
Enrage: Has increased melee attack and speed when damaged.

HAUNTED SPIDER: DEATH MONSTER

Edition: Alpha/Beta
Rarity: Common
Element: Death
ABILITIES: Poison at level 4.

This is a death monster, in the first level it has ranged attacks (2), Speed (1), Health (2).

It has one ability in the fourth level which is-
Poison: Attacks have a chance to apply poison, who does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied.

ABILITIES: Snipe at level 1; Snare at level 6

This is a neutral monster, in the first level it has ranged attacks (2), Speed (2), Health (5).

Snipe: Targets enemy monsters with ranged, magic or no attack that are not in the first position.

It has another ability in the sixth level which is-
Snare: When attacking enemies with flying, removes the flying ability and cannot miss.

Battle Details

My Battle

Round 01

The enemy team started the battle with the first attack with fire elemental on haunted spirit of my team and killed the furious chicken of my team with blast. And then the mantoid of my team which is the theme monster of this weeks battle challenge killed the fire elemental of the enemy team with its first attack.
Both teams lost a monster each in this round.
Round 02

The enemy monster team had only one monster at this moment without any armor and my team has three monsters where my front monster healed and made big health already. Then both teams attacked each other.
Round 03

Mantoid of my team started this round with attacking the enemy monster and then the enemy monster attacked the front monster of my team and my front monster attacked back and then another monster from my team attacked the enemy monster and killed it.
My team finished the battle in this round.
Battle Results

I was the winner of that battle with 66 points and 0.015 DEC.

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

Yes my strategy worked nicely and I might try similar monsters with nice powers next time when I do some battle.
