A new week and new Challenge by @splinterlands.
Now a fixed appointment for some time, an opportunity to learn how to use our monsters by also reading the participations of other users.

Questa settimana si parla di un mostro che utilizzo spesso parliamo di

The collection of souls is forbidden by the Dark Eternal, some still practice this evil collection.
When a Soul Harvest goes wrong, it leaves the doomed victim to roam disembodied Splinterlamds.
These wandering souls are attracted to each other, forming giant threatening clouds, known as SOULSTORMS.
If you happen to see one, run to shelter because the danger is imminent.

I often use this monster, it is certainly not my favourite card but it has its reason and when the conditions allow it I like to insert it in the battle.
This card is part of the UNTAMED pack and is an EPIC card with a RANGED attack of the DEATH element but can also be used by Dragons.

I own this card at level 1, not exceptional level yet this monster already has its say from the basic level.
SOULSTORM can be upgraded to level 6 by increasing damage from 3 to 4 and life from 2 to 3, but one of the nice things is the many abilities this monster possesses when fully upgraded.
At level 1 he already has the FLYING skill, a skill that increases dodging and is useful in particular match conditions such as EARTHQUAKE.
At level 2 of the monster, a new SNARE ability is added, this power allows you to eliminate the FLYING ability to enemy cards hit.
At level 4 there is the third ability, HEADWINDS which reduces the attack points of all cards with opponent RANGED attack.
Finally, at level six, STUN appears an ability that gives the chance to block the monster hit by SOULSTORM for one turn.

ATTACK

The attack is a strength of this card, already at level 1, it has a medium-high attack of 3 high for a level 1 card that is upgraded to a maximum of 4 at level 6.

SPEED

The speed of this 5 card is also definitely a positive note for this monster.
Combined with the FLYING ability it makes this monster difficult to hit.

LIFE

Life is a weak point of this card.
It comes with 2 at level one and 3 at maximum level, its skills and speed make the card difficult to hit but in case of success of the hit, it is almost destined to leave us the feathers with a blow.

MANA

The mana cost of this card is 5, perhaps high for the first few levels but once the card is upgraded the MANA cost is more than justified.

As written above, whenever the conditions, especially the MANA, allow me to use this card, I deploy it in the deck even if it is level 1.
Often it gives me satisfaction, sometimes they are curses but I think it is an excellent card to upgrade and use.

CONDIZIONI MATCH:

• EARTHQUAKE: monsters suffer 2 MELEE attack points at the end of each turn.
• KEEP YOUR DISTANCE: Monsters with MELEE attack cannot be used.
• MANA: 24
• USABLE ELEMENTS: FIRE, WATER, EARTH, DEATH, DRAGON.

DEPLOYMENT:

For this battle, I decided to field the DEATH element.
The conditions of the match led me to choose the Summoner, albeit level 1, recently purchased OWSTER ROTWELL and which I love for its ability to add magic reflected damage to each of my cards.
I figured that my opponent like me would field many monsters with magic attack and so it was the right choice.

In the front row, I have inserted in defence of my cards GELATIMUS CUBE with a large amount of life 8 and the SCAVENGER abilities that increase the life of one for each monster killed and Heal that the possibility for the monster to heal itself at every turn.

In the second position, I put FALLEN SPECTER mainly for its magical damage but mainly for its great speed which makes it difficult to hit and its FLYING ability which neutralizes the condition of the EARTHQUAKE match...

In the third row, I entered our Challenge monster, SOULSTORM defended by the first two cards in front, deployed for its attack of 3 and also for its EARTHQUAKE ability.

In the fourth row, I decided to put BOOGEYMAN RARE card with magic attack and the SLOW ability which makes all enemy monsters slower so more dodge chance for me.
It also has 6 life and if not hit it has the possibility of holding 3 Rounds, not a given the specifics of this game.

In the fifth row, I placed a NEUTRAL card which I love for its low cost but above all for its HALVIN ability.
The monster in question is HALFING ALCHEMIST EPIC card that reduces the damage of the hit monsters by half by reducing it down so if the monster has 3 passes 1.
It also has 1 shield which seems little but very useful, it almost always allows it to survive at least one turn and if this monster manages to hit thanks to its ability it greatly benefits my Deck.

In the last row, I inserted CHICKEN FURIOUS mainly to make my enemy lose an attack in case he has cards with SNEAR ability, an ability that allows monsters that have it to attack the card in the last row.

My opponent, like me, has deployed the DEATH element and as Summoner has put CONTESSAQ L'AMENT with the ability to reduce the RANGED attack of all my cards, too bad for our Challenge card which will go from 3 to 2 attack points.
As expected he has inserted many cards with magical damage and little life, thanks to the ability of my Summoner a big party is expected for our gelatinous cube.

It took 3 Rounds to finish the battle.
Did it go as planned?
Will our monster be able to survive?
Did the jelly-like cube celebrate with all the dead?

As always the Spoiler is around the corner :-) and here is the final result, I suggest you watch the replay anyway for our monster but also the skill of the new Summoner ... a power against the hated (from me when I find him against) magic attack.

The game remains a great game despite the sharp halt that the new update has brought.
Keep having fun even if the upgrades are slow and the "challenge" to reach new leagues is gone.

La raccolta delle anime è vietata dagli Eterni OScuri, qualcuno pratica ancora questa malvagia raccolta.
Quando un Soul Harverst va male, lascia la vittima condannata a vagare per Splinterlamds senza corpo.
Queste anime vaganti sono attratte una dall'altra, formando gigantesce nuvole minacciose, conosciute come SOULSTORMS.
Se vi capita di vederne una correte a ripararvi perchè il pericolo è imminente.

Utilizzo spesso questo mostro, non è certo la mia carta preferita ma ha un suo perchè e quando le condizioni lo permettono mi piace inserirlo nella battaglia.
Questa carta fa parte del pacchetto UNTAMED è una carta EPIC con attacco RANGED dell'elemento DEATH ma può essere utilizzata anche dai Draghi.

Possiedo questa carta a livello 1, livello non eccezionale eppure questo mostro già dal livello base dice la sua.
SOULSTORM può essere potenziato fino a livello 6 aumentando danno da 3 a 4 e vita da 2 a 3, ma una delle cose belle sono le numerose abilità che qesto mostro possiede se potenziato al massimo.
A livello 1 possiede già l'abilità FLYING, abilità che aumenta la schivata e utile in condizioni particolari del Match ad esempio EARRTQUAKE.
A livello 2 del mostro si aggiunge una nuova abilità SNARE, questo potere permette di eliminare l'abilità FLYING alle carte nemiche colpite.
A livello 4 si presenta la terza abilità, HEADWINDS che riduce i punti attacco di tutte le carte con attacco RANGED avversarie.
IN ultimo a livello sei si presenta STUN, abilità che da probabilità di bloccare per un turno il mostro colpito da SOULSTORM.

ATTACK

L'attacco è un punto forza di questa carta, già a livello 1 possiede un attacco medio-alto di 3 alto per una carta di livello 1 che si potenzia fino a un massimo di 4 a livello 6.

SPEED

Anche la velocità di questa carta 5 è sicuramente una nota positiva per questo mostro.
Sommata alla abilità FLYING rende questo mostro difficile da colpire.

LIFE

La vita è un punto debole di questa carta.
Si presenta con 2 a livello uno e 3 a livello massimo, le sue abilità e velocità rendono la carta complicata da colpire ma in caso di successo del colpo è quasi destinata a lasciarci le penne con un colpo.

MANA

Il costo in mana di questa carta è 5, forse alto per i primi livelli ma una volta potenziata la carta il costo in MANA è più che giustificato.

Come scritto sopra ogni volta che le condizioni, soprattutto il MANA, mi permettono di utilizzare questa carta, la schiero nel deck anche se di livello 1.
Spesso mi da soddisfazioni a volte sono imprecazioni ma ritengo che sia un ottima carta da potenziare e utilizzare.

• EARTHQUAKE: i mostri subiscono 2 punti attacco MELEE a ogni fine turno.
• KEEP YOUR DISTACE: I mostri con attacco MELEE non possono essere utilizzati.

• ELEMENTI UTILIZZABILI: FIRE, WATER, EARTH, DEATH, DRAGON.

SCHIERAMENTO:

Per questa battaglia ho deciso di schierare l'elemento DEATH.
Le condizioni del Match mi hanno portato a scegliere il Summoner, anche se di livello 1, OWSTER ROTWELL recente acquisto e che adoro per la sua abilità di aggiungere a ogni mia carta danno magico riflesso.
Ho immaginato che il mio avversario come me avrebbe schierato molti mostri con attacco magico e cosi è stato, scelta azzeccata.

In prima fila ho inserito a difesa delle mie carte GELATIMUS CUBE con una grande quantità di vita 8 e le abilità SCAVENGER che aumenta la vita di uno per ogni mostro ucciso e Heal che la possibilità al mostro di curarsi a ogni suo inizio turno.

In seconda posizione ho messo FALLEN SPECTER principalmente per il suo danno magico ma soprattutto per la sua grande velocità che lo rende difficile da colpire e la sua abilità FLIYNG che neutralizza la condizione del match EARTHQUAKE..

In terza fila ho inserito il nostro mostro Challenge, SOULSTORM difeso dalle prime due carte davanti, schierato per il suo attacco di 3 e anche questa per la sua abilità EARTHQUAKE.

In quarta fila ho deciso di mettere BOOGEYMAN carta RARE con attacco magico e la abilità SLOW che rende tutti i mostri nemici più lenti quindi più chance di schivata per me.
Inoltre ha 6 di vita e se non colpito ha la possibilità di reggere 3 Round, non pochi visto le specifiche di questa partita.

In quinta fila ho posizionato una carta NEUTRAL che adoro per il suo basso costo ma soprattutto per la sua abilità HALVIN.
Il mostro in questione è HALFING ALCHEMIST carta EPIC che riduce il danno dei mostri colpiti della metà riducendo per difetto quindi se il mostro ha 3 passa 1.
Possiede anche 1 di scudo che sembra poco ma molto utile, quasi sempre gli permette di sopravvivere almeno un turno e se questo mostro riesce a colpire grazie alla sua abilità avvantaggia molto il mio Deck.

In ultima fila ho inserito CHIKEN FURIOUS principalmente per far perdere un attacco al mio nemico in caso avesse carte con abilità SNEAR, abilità che permette ai mostri che la possiedono di attaccare la carta in ultima fila.

Il mio avversario, come me, ha schierato l'elemento DEATH e come Summoner ha messo CONTESSAQ L'AMENT con l'abilità di ridurre l'attaccolo RANGED di tutte le mie carte, peccato per la nostra carta Challenge che da 3 passerà a 2 punti attacco.
Come previsto ha inserito molte carte con danno magico e poca vita, grazie alla abilità del mio Summoner si prevede grande festa per il nostro cubo gelatinoso.

Sono serviti 3 Round per concludere la battaglia.
Sarà andata come previsto?
Il nostro mostro sarà riuscito a sopravvivere?
Il cubo gelatinoso avrà veramente fatto festa con tutti i morti?

Come sempre lo Spoiler è dietro l'angolo :-) ed ecco il risultato finale, vi consiglio di guardare comunque il replay per il nostro mostro ma anche per l'abilità del nuovo Summoner... una potenza contro l'odiato (da me quando me lo trovo contro) attacco magico.

Il gioco rimane un grande gioco nonostante la brusca frenata che il nuovo aggiornamento ha portato.
Continua a divertirmi anche se i potenziamenti sono lenti e la "sfida" a raggiungere leghe nuove non c'è più.
