Since I started my adventure on Splinterlands I have always written a monthly report to evaluate Splinterlands solely from a financial point of view.

It's been a little more than 13 months (precisely 13 months and three days) since I first logged in to Splinterlands and here I am writing my thirteenth report on my favorite game on Hive.

My reports can be useful for those who are thinking about registering on Splinterlands and want to get an idea of what Splinterlands has offered in the past to its players and also what it can offer at the moment.

The previous month was the most financially satisfactory month.
As you can see from the following picture I have achieved the highest Profit and ROI so far.

In twelve months I achieved a total profit of 307,28 $ and a ROI of 118,59 % compared to a total investment of 259,10 $.

Cards Purchased and Sold

---

Since the last report and until today November 21, 2020 I have not sold or bought any cards.
Because both cards and DECs have a good value I have chosen to wait to make some sale and purchase operations.
In fact, in general, when the value of DEC tokens is low it is better to sell the cards because you receive a lot of DECs.
When the value of the cards is low and the value of the DECs is high it is better to buy using DECs.
So at the moment I am in a waiting situation.

DEC Purchased and DEC Sold

The value of the DECs is probably expected to grow near the next Splinterlands pre-sales stage and for this reason I have not made any sales operations of the DEC tokens.

Plots purchased

---

For the first time I introduce a new investment element in my report: the Plot.

Thanks to the intermediation of @poliwalt10 which I thank publicly here, I bought 3 Plots for the price of 7500 DEC each for a total cost of 22500 DEC.

Valuation of Splinterlands as an investment

To evaluate any investment you have to compare costs and revenues.
Below I will calculate the total costs I have incurred and the total revenue I have obtained to date.

Total Investment Cost

---

The total cost of my investment on Splinterlands is given by the following sum:

Registration cost (Starter Set) + Cost of Cards purchased + Cost of DECs purchased + Cost of Plots purchased

Up to last month the total cost of my investment on Splinterlands was 259,10 $.

Because I bought 3 plots for the price of22500 DEC my total investment on Splinterlands increases by a value of 19,66 $..

The value of my total investment is 278,76 $ (259,10 + 19,66)..

On Splinterlands the revenues are mainly composed by:

• the value of the Cards
• the value obtained from the sale of the cards
• the value of the tokens DEC (Dark Energy Crystal) accumulated.
• the value of the DEC tokens sold.

How much are my cards worth?

---

To calculate the dollar value of my cards I use Peakmonsters (https://peakmonsters.com/@libertycrypto27/collection).
The Collection section of the PeakMonsters website makes the calculation much easier and faster.

To calculate the value of my card collection I take into consideration the total value using the Market Price.
Last month my card collection had a value of 474,15 $.

Today my card collection has a value of 497,36 $ .

My card collection has grown in value even though I have not purchased any cards this month and this is a very good sign for Splinterlands and all its players.

What are my DEC worth?

---

The DEC are the Non Fungible Tokens (NFT) of the Splinterlands game.
For each battle won you receive as a reward a certain amount of DEC.
Thanks to the battles won and the rewards obtained from the completion of the daily missions I have on my wallet a total of 10461 tokens DEC.

The equivalent value in $ of the quantity of 10461 DEC is 9,14 $.

Revenues from the sale of DEC tokens on Hive Engine

---

On October 5th I sold 81000 DEC on the Hive Engine market and received 400.14 HIVE for a value at the time of sale of 64,8 $.

How much are my Plots worth?

---

In the next pre-sale of the Plots the purchase price established for each plots will be 12$ but since who will use the purchase pools will buy the plots at a price of 9000 DEC I will consider the value of the Plots in my possession equal to 9000 DEC each.

As you can see from the image above the total value of the Plots in my possession is 23,59 $.

Now I have all the necessary data (Costs and Revenues) to calculate any profit or loss.

As you can see from the calculations in the following image my profit after 13 months on Splinterlands is 316,13 $

The ROI I got in 13 months is 113,41%.

Final Considerations

---

So in 13 months I made a profit of 316,13 $.

The profit increased a little more than 8$ compared to the total profit recorded in the previous report which was 307,28 $.

The ROI obtained after 13 months is 113,41%.

The ROI, differently from profit, decreases by about 5 percentage points compared to the ROI of the previous report which was 118,59 %.
The reason is due to the increase in total investment cost and the slight loss in value of DEC tokens on Hive Engine.

This month I had a small increase in profit while last month's profit was up a lot, with an increase of almost 50%.

I am increasingly satisfied with my investment on Splinterlands and my only regret is that I didn't register earlier.

Monthly results considerations

---

The profit in the eighth month fell because some players had offered for sale a large number of cards at very low prices and as a result there was a general decline in the value of many cards especially the Beta collection. My collection consists mostly of cards from the Beta collection.

In the ninth month the prices of the cards increased again and the value of my card collection also increased with the consequent increase of the ROI and Profit value.

In the tenth month my card collection increased its value but the cost of purchasing DICE packages was higher and therefore both ROI and Profit decreased by almost half compared to the ninth month.

In the 11th month the changes introduced by the Power Collection pushed many players to invest in the purchase of the cards in order to increase their Power score and advance in the most advanced gaming leagues.

In the 12th month the cards had an increase in value and at the same time the DECs had a very high value.
The profit of the twelfth month (307,279 $) grew a lot and a little more than double the total profit recorded in the previous month (149,437 $).
A truly exceptional result.

In this month the results were not as outstanding as the previous month but I feel I can state and confirm for the 13th time in a row that Splinterlands is absolutely an excellent investment.
But the most beautiful consideration is that I have achieved the excellent profit recorded so far in the most beautiful way ever: playing!

But Splinterlands is so much more!
In this report I have not considered all the earning possibilities that Splinterlands offers to its players.
Every week there are contests to participate in.
Depending on the quality of the posts, the @steemmonsters account rewards the authors with max two upvote per week.
If you are a Splinterlands player my advice is to participate assiduously in the contests that @splinterlands organizes every week.

In 13 months I have participated in many contests organized by @splinterlands and I have received many upvotes from @steemmonsters account.
If I also consider the total value of the votes received my profit is much bigger.

Da quando ho iniziato la mia avventura su Splinterlands ho sempre scritto un report mensile per valutare Splinterlands unicamente dal punto di vista finanziario.

Sono passati poco più di 13 mesi (precisamente 13 mesi e tre giorni) da quando ho fatto il mio primo login su Splinterlands.

I miei report possono essere utili a chi sta pensando di registrarsi su Splinterlands e vuole avere un idea su quello che Splinterlands ha offerto in passato ai suoi giocatori e anche a quello che può offrire attualmente.

Carte Acquistate e Vendute

Dall'ultimo report e fino ad oggi 21 novembre 2020 non ho venduto e non ho acquistato carte.
Poichè sia le carte che i DEC hanno un buon valore ho scelto di aspettare per effettuare delle operazioni di vendita e acquisto.
Infatti, in linea generale, quando il valore dei token DEC è basso conviene vendere le carte perchè si ricevono molti DEC.
Quando il valore delle carte è basso e il valore dei DEC è alto conviene acquistare utilizzando i DEC.
Quindi al momento sono in una situazione di attesa.

Il valore dei DEC probabilmente dovrebbe crescere in prossimità del prossimo Stage di pre-vendita delle Land di Splinterlands e per questo motivo non ho fatto operazioni di vendita dei token DEC.

---

Per la prima volta introduco nel mio report un nuovo elemento di investimento: il Plot.

Considerazioni Finali

In 13 mesi ho quindi ottenuto un profitto di 316,13 $.

Il profitto cresce di poco più di 8$ rispetto al profitto totale registrato nel report precedente che era di 307,28 $.

Il ROI ottenuto dopo 13 mesi è del 113,41%

Il ROI, a differenza del profitto, diminuisce di circa 5 punti percentuali rispetto al ROI del report precedente che era di 118,59 %.
Il motivo è dovuto all'incremento del totale del costo dell'investimento e dalla leggera perdita del valore dei token DEC su Hive Engine.

Questo mese ho avuto un piccolo incremento del profitto mentre il mese scorso il profitto era cresciuto di molto facendo registrare un incremento di quasi il 50%.

Sono sempre più soddisfatto del mio investimento su Splinterlands e il mio unico rammarico è di non essermi registrato prima.

Considerazioni sui risultati mensili

---

Il profitto nell'ottavo mese é sceso perchè alcuni giocatori avevano messo in vendita un gran numero di carte a prezzi molto bassi e di conseguenza c'è stato un calo generale del valore di molte carte soprattutto della collezione Beta. La mia collezione è composta per la maggior parte proprio da carte della collezione Beta.

Nel nono mese i prezzi delle carte sono tornati a crescere ed è cresciuto anche il valore della mia collezione di carte con il conseguente aumento del valore del ROI e del Profitto.

Nel decimo mese la mia collezione di carte ha aumentato il suo valore ma il costo sostenuto per l'acquisto dei pacchetti DICE è stato maggiore e quindi sia il ROI che il Profitto hanno subito una diminuzione quasi della metà rispetto al nono mese.

Nell'undicesimo mese le modifiche introdotte dal Collection Power hanno spinto molti giocatori a investire nell'acquisto delle carte per poter aumentare il proprio punteggio Power e avanzare nelle leghe di gioco più avanzate.

Nel dodicesimo mese le carte hanno avuto un aumento di valore e contemporaneamente anche i DEC hanno fatto registrare un valore molto alto.
Il profitto del dodicesimo mese (307.279 $) è cresciuto molto e poco più del doppio del profitto totale registrato nel mese precedente (149.437 $).
Un risultato davvero eccezionale.

In questo mese i risultati non sono stati eccezionali come il mese precedente ma mi sento di poter affermare e confermare per la tredicesima volta di fila che Splinterlands è assolutamente un eccellente investimento.
Ma la considerazione più bella è che ho ottenuto l'ottimo profitto registrato fino ad ora nel modo più bello in assoluto: giocando!

In questo report non ho considerato tutte le possibilità di guadagno che offre Splinterlands ai propri giocatori.

Splinterlands è un bellissimo gioco ma è soprattutto un ottimo investimento (mia personale opinione) in particolare se si partecipa regolarmente ai contest settimanali organizzati dall'account @splinterlands.
