Splinterlands Battle Share- Giant Squid from Water Monster

avatar

Hello Game Lovers

This is Friday and weekend mode is on to have rest and get some time spend with family. Although nowadays even weekends and weekdays are more or less similar but still on weekend no need for work and no worry about getting calls from the boss. I usually play more battles on the weekend but this time I am playing the same on weekdays too because I work from home and I play a few battles when I take a break from work.

This splinterlands is left with 6 days and this week's battle share is announced with Giant Squid which is a rare card from water monsters. Since I did not have this card with me so after the contest announcement I purchased it from the market. I even played a few battles with this card to understand the performance and made myself familiar with it. Now I am quite familiar with its ability and performance that you can see in my battle that I am sharing in this post.

My Battle Strategy and Cards Placement

Giant Squid is a rare card of the Wiater Monster and it comes from the Untamed edition which is the latest edition and it has got an amazing collection of cards and even the team is unfolding cards in intervals. This is not an expensive card so its good to have a higher level card however I have only level 1 card with me but I will be upgrading it to a higher level soon.

Giant Squid Statistics

This Giant Squid is a rare card that costs 5 mana which is not too less or high and it even doesn't have any specific ability. Despite not having any specific ability its good card for the attack. This is surely a pretty nice card to have in the battle when mana is around 20 and keeping this card in middle can make the battle win. While this card cost 5 mana but its placement on the battle in middle could be good however can also be used at the front if battle mana is too less.

Although there are far larger monsters in the oceans, Giant Squids are some of the most ruthless. They leave trails of corrosive ink wherever they go, and they enjoy toying with their prey before killing and eating it. Luckily for otherwise vulnerable water-breathers, the moaning cry of the Giant Squids announces their arrival for miles in every direction.

I used 6 cards because the battle mana was 32 for this battle and I think is pretty good to have. I choose the best cards available as per the theme and mana.

  • Sea Monster
  • Water Elemental
  • Ruler of the Seas
  • Giant Squid
  • Crustacean King
  • Pirate Archer

Sea Monster

Sea Monster is one of the powerful and strong cards in water tear and it attacks as well as restore its health. Having this card in the battle increases the chances of winning battle unless the opponent is not more strong and has better than this card. I have
level 4 monster and that too in gold foil so I win many battles with the water monster. I prefer to use this card in the front because of its abilities.

Water Elemental

This is also a powerful card and after the sea monster, this is the card that I prefer to have in the game. I put it in second place because this is very good for attacks.

Ruler of the Seas

Ruler of the Seas is such an awesome card in my water team and its one my favourite card because it hits two cards at the same time. This is an expensive card and I paid a little higher amount to buy but that was a very good decision I must say.

Giant Squid

A new card that I never played with before but its a nice card at the mana and its price is also no too high so surely a nice idea to keep it in the portfolio and game.

Crustacean King

This is well known for its power to restore the health of fighting a monster and that very good. It also attacks sometimes but I like more of it to support my monster than attack. It cost just 3 mana and this is not bad to have in the team.

Pirate Archer

Like ruler of the seas this card also make dual damage with a single attack. It cost 3 mana and at this mana, this is the best.

I won the battle and after this, I got 10 ratings added to my score, and this battle I played with ARBAGEPOSTER player and I like the name literally. My strategy worked well in this battle and theme card also played the game well along with other cards like Sea Monster, Ruler seas, and water elemental also helped a lot to make nice hits.

Do I use Giant Squid Often?

Giant Squid is quite a new card to me as I never played with before and I even did not have this before. I played so many battles with this card after the purchase and thats how I made myself familiar with this card's performance. Overall its a nice card to have and I like its performance.

Will I use this Card in future battles?

Certainly. I like the performance of the card and I will surely use this card in future battles while paying game with fire elements. I think this is a card which should be picked only when mana is less and approx 20-22 and if its more then I would have better cards to go for and picking this will not be a good idea.
