THEME: BLAST

Does additional damage to monsters adjacent to the largest monster.

Not a powerful monster this week.
This theme is about the ability of some monsters.

I used Exploding Dwarf which is in level 4 with "Blast and Piercing" ability.

I sold all my Exploding Dwarf long ago as I didn't find him helpful.
So I had to buy him again.
Bought 12 cards of level 1 and combined em into level 4.

• I just created this post sharing a gameplay link of one of my battles using Blast theme.
• Just finished tagging splinterlands.
• So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
  Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with fire splinter.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 16 with "Unprotected & Melee Mayhem" Rules.
I used fire splinter for the match while my opponent used death splinter.
I'm not so sure but I think I was just too lucky to have the rule "Melee Mayhem" as melee attack monsters can attack from any position in this theme.

My Lineup.

I had my Cerberus in level 5, Kobold Miner in level 6 & Cocatrice in level 3, Exploding Dwarf in level 4 & Furious Chicken in level 5.
It was my setup.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Haunted Spirit in level 5, Furious Chicken (Gold) in level 3, Fallen Spectar (Legendary) in level 2, Undead Archer in level 4 & Twisted Jester in level 3.

Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.

Malric Inferno ^{Rare Fire Summoner} - as summoner.

Malric is a unique curiosity in the already diverse Burning Lands. He is a spectre of fire with powerful attacks of his own, but he is also extraordinarily brilliant. Malric has graduated from every Ferexia school, including the prestigious Summun Infuria. He is especially skilled in boosting the attack power of his monsters. Source

My Malric Inferno is in level 5 with the ability of giving all friendly melee attack monsters +1 melee attack and for that all my monsters in this battle got 1 extra melee attack.
It needs 3 mana.

No 01: CERBERUS ^{(RARE Fire Monster)}

It’s not easy being a three-headed dog. The constant bickering, biting and slobbering are always a distraction, and the heads can rarely agree on anything. When summoned to battle, these giant dogs present a fury of claw, flame and fang that is difficult for any monster to get past - Source.

My Cerberus is in level 4 with 3 melee attack, 4 speed & 7 health with "Heal & Retaliate" ability.
It needs 4 mana.

No 02: Kobold Miner ^{(Common Fire Monster)}

The Kobolds of the Burning Lands are skilled at seeking and extracting precious stones from the innards of the planet. Their favorite tools are torches and hammers. Thanks to the extreme pride they take in their mining work, they happily accept their situation of servitude to the Torch. Source

My Kobold Miner is in level 6 with 2 melee attack, 4 speed, 2 health with "Sneak" ability.
It needs 2 mana.

No 03: COCATRICE ^{(RARE Neutral Monster)}

While most Dragons live in Draykh-Nahka, the little miscreant known as Cocatrice can be found pretty much anywhere in the Splinterlands. Their favorite activity seems to be wrecking markets by night. In battle, they are annoyingly difficult to hit, and they never stop squawking - Source.

My Cocatrice is in level 3 with 1 melee attack, 4 speed, 3 health with "Flying" ability.
It needs 2 mana.

No 03: EXPLODING DWARF ^{(COMMON Fire Monster)}

The aptly named Exploding Dwarves are newcomers to the Splinterlands. No one knows from whence they came; the Dwarves simply emerged from the Molten Mountain caverns a decade ago, quickly reproducing and settling across the Burning Lands. It is best to keep distance from them (especially when they are exploding) - Source.

My EXPLODING DWARF is in level 4 with 4 melee attack, 4 speed, 1 health with "Blast & Piercing" ability.
It needs 5 mana.

No 05: Furious Chicken ^{(Rare Neutral Monster)}

The chickens of the Splinterlands have had enough. For too long they have been kept in cages and pens. For too many generations their eggs have been made into omelettes, their breasts and thighs into nuggets, and their most pristine feathers into rather tacky jewelry. Under the brave leadership of a great hero known only as The Alpha Chicken, all chicken-kind is finally rising up against their oppressors. My Furious Chicken is in level 6 with 1 melee attack, 1 speed, 1 health with "Enrage" ability.
It needs 0 mana.

This is the card that I use when there's slot left but no mana left.
I mean it's service is great for free I suppose.
Right now... I can't imagine playing a match without this card.
It's like the chicken that lays golden egg.
It provides a great support with it's counter attack.
With 0 mana... it's just amazing.

• Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly and I think I'll use monsters with blast ability again if I need to.

• No, that's a negative.
  I don't play with this theme so often.
  Maybe this was the first time watching over this ability and I used the card with the ability in order to join this challenge only and now it seems I liked the card and the ability.
