Hello

I hope you're having a great day.

Welcome to my blog where I'll share my winning match with Molten Ogre in splinterlands. And with this post; I'm going to join SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! Molten Ogre.

THEME: MOLTEN OGRE (COMMON Fire Monster)
Edition: PROMO (ORB)
Rarity: COMMON
Element: FIRE
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Demoralize at level 1; Trample at level 6

Well, I don't know what more to say about this monster after I've read what @carrieallen said about it.

I'd like to draw your attention to his extremely bad breath. It's so bad, you can see it! Okay, so maybe that's how he Demoralizes his opponents. They smell his yell and lose all hope - @carrieallen

She definitely wrote those funny words cause probably she was in an amusing mood, and I'm with her. I mean, I approve of what she said as I also try to talk about the visual appearance of the monster that I share a battle with. This monster looks huge and you shouldn't ignore his big four packs on the belly. Are the four packs or eight? I'm kinda confused now. BTW... this monster is not only scary from the visual, this one becomes scary on the battlefield as well with its "Demoralize" ability which reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters. Molten Ogre needs 9 mana for battle and I'm using this monster in level 1 to share a battle. My Molten Ogre is in level 1 with 3 melee attacks, 1 speed & 10 health with the "Demoralize" ability.

Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with the fire splinter.

    • Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly and I'll try to use similar helpful monsters next time if I need to.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 99 with the "Standard" rule where I've used the fire splinter and my opponent used the water splinter against me.

My Lineup.

I had my Molten Ogre in level 1, Fineas Rage in level 1, War Chaang in level 1, Prismatic Energy in level 1, Ettin Spearman in level 1 & Mantoid in level 1.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Sea Monster in level 1, Sand Worm in level 1, Sea Genie in level 1, Enchanted Pixie in level 1, Crustacean King in level 1 & Water Elemental in level 1.

Let me talk about monsters that I used in this battle.

No 01: Molten Ogre (COMMON Fire Monster)

This monster looks huge and you shouldn't ignore his big four packs on the belly. Are the four packs or eight? I'm kinda confused now. BTW... this monster is not only scary from the visual, this one becomes scary on the battlefield as well with its "Demoralize" ability which reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters. Molten Ogre needs 9 mana for battle and I'm using this monster in level 1 to share a battle. My Molten Ogre is in level 1 with 3 melee attacks, 1 speed & 10 health with the "Demoralize" ability.

No 02: FINEAS RAGE (RARE Fire Monster)

I used to like Giant Orc for "reach" ability till I've found out Fineas Rage.
When you find a high mana clip battle and you decide to play with the fire splinter, Fineas Rage should be in the second position without further ado.

I used my Fineas Rage is in level 1 with 2 melee attacks, 5 speed & 8 health with "Reach" ability, and it needs 7 mana to battle.

No 03: WAR CHAANG (EPIC Neutral Monster)

It's an amazing monster who has a double attack. From the visual and from the official lore of the monster, we can see that this monster is something that's been used in war and I've only seen them in cinema before.

Although I used this monster in the battle in the third position as I used another double attack monster in the second position. For splinterlands, this is a fantastic monster with a double attack. I was kind of confused about the best position for this monster in the battle.

I've learned that it's best to use it in the second position as it has both ranged and melee attacks. From the second position, it can attack with a ranged attack and if the front monster dies then this monster can come to the front and attack with melee.

My WAR CHAANG is in level 1 which offers me 1 melee attack, 2 ranged attacks, 3 speed & 8 health with "Retaliate" ability and it needs 7 mana to play.

No 04: Prismatic Energy (Rare Neutral Monster)

If you're looking for a very nice and cool monster in neutral splinter with some cool power then I'd suggest Prismatic Energy for that. This monster can get very handy for its big health and especially the magic reflect ability.

My Prismatic Energy is in level 1 with 1 magic attack, 3 speed, 9 health with the "Magic Reflect" ability and it needs 8 mana for the battle.

No 05: ETTIN SPEARMAN (COMMON Fire Monster)

Ettin Spearman is a nice warrior with a big spear and double heads. Its look is so fearsome and it's so powerful on the battlefield and I like to use it when I play with the fire splinter with a big mana cap.

I used my Ettin Spearman in level 1 with 1 ranged attack, 1 speed & 2 health and it needs 6 mana to battle.

No 06: Mantoid (Common Neutral Monster)

This is a monster version of a praying mantis. It's an awesome monster in the neutral splinter. Having bot "Snipe & Snare" abilities unlocked at a higher level, this monster can be a nice supporter for the team with its ranged attack. Its "Snipe" ability helps it to target enemy monsters with ranged, magic or no attack that is not in the first position which unlocks at level 1 with 1 card and its "Snare" ability helps it to remove the flying ability if attacking a monster with the flying ability and can't miss that attack which unlocks at level 6 with 100 cards.

My Mantoid is in level 1 which offers me 2 ranged attacks, 2 speed & 5 health with "Snipe" ability and it needs 6 mana to play.

  • In my personal opinion... Molten Ogre is a nice fit for the ruleset.

On the battlefield.

For the special ability of my summoner, all melee monsters of my team got +1 melee attack each. And for the special ability of my opponent's summoner, all magic monsters of my opponent team got +1 magic attack each. Then... for the special ability "Demoralize" of my Molten Ogre, all melee monsters of my opponent team lost 1 melee attack each. Then the Fineas Rage of my team, the most speed holder in both teams started the battle with its first attack on the Sea Monster of my opponent team and killed 3 healths. Then Water Elemental of my opponent team attacked and killed only 2 health of my Molten Ogre out of 10 and it continued until Sea Monster of my opponent team died with the last hit of my Ettin Spearman. Poor Sea Monster didn't have the chance to attack or to heal even after having the power to heal itself. Then Sand Worm of my opponent team killed my Molten Ogre right after the Sea Monster died. It kinda seemed like my opponent team avenged the death of their Sea Monster. After my Molten Ogre died, melee monsters of my opponent team got back the melee attack that they lost for the "Demoralize" ability. Now it begins again from the beginning with a new round.

image.png

My opponent team kept losing monsters while my team was enjoying killing all the monsters of the opponent. My opponent had only two monsters at last at this point where they had only one monster who could attack and that attack was really worth something. That attack killed my Fineas Rage.

image.png

Now, this is the moment... well you should know the rest.
The battle got finished in round 3 while my team still had four monsters alive. It was indeed a fantastic battle that my team fought.

Hahaha!
I do think this is one of the scarier looking monsters. I mean, his sheer size is intimidating.
And I think it's 6-pack.😂
Though 8 would be better!
Great post! - carrieallen
