A new week, greetings to all Splinters Warriors......

It's a new week and I'm very excited to publish, as for me it's about putting the strongest cards in my deck into battle, which of course belong to the Earth Splinter. I want to take the opportunity of this publication, to thank @Splinterlands and @carrieallen, for allowing us as players to show all our skills in battle, trying out new combat strategies to achieve glory and be the best of the best.

Particularly in this challenge, even though it is a card from the same Splinter that I use the most, I haven't really used the "Child of the Forest" much, this is because most of my strongest cards belong to past editions and I haven't been able to get a lot of cards from the Untamed edition yet, however, that doesn't mean, that it doesn't match my cards, so in my strategies I found a good place and use that doesn't affect my formations relatively.

Before continuing I must show you as always some details about this card.

Let's talk more about "Child Of The Forest"

line2.png

It is a "Rare" type card, with a rank attack and an intrinsic ability called "Snipe", which gives the monster the opportunity to attack the opponent's cards with magic and rank attacks. Also, at higher levels, specifically at level 5, it obtains the ability called "Snare", which when the monster that possesses it manages to hit an attack against a flying monster, It loses that ability, leaving it at the mercy of ground attacks with very low odds of continuing to dodge the attacks of the rest of the cards, in this sense in my opinion it is a very useful monster for low mana battles and a good rank caster that can attack first due to its high speed of 5 points.

Overall, a very useful card, now it's "Time for Battle"

Time for Battle

It wasn't too difficult to get a battle going with my "Child of the Forest", as it fits perfectly with all my ground equipment, which I've said before is my strongest equipment. It was an interesting battle since my opponent had good level cards both at the front and at the end of his formation, however, I will soon detail the strategy I used to beat my opponent.

Rules of my battle

line2.png

  • Mana: 42
  • Healed Qut: A very simple rule to understand, here none of the monsters with the "Heal or Tank Heal" skill will be able to recover their health in each round.
  • Odd Ones Qut: This rule is quite particular, since no cards with even numbers according to their mana can be used to summon them, in short, we can only summon those cards with an odd number of mana in our battle.

My Team

line2.png

Delwyn Dragonscale.pngDelwyn Dragonscale
My chosen summoner for this battle and one of my favorites as you can see. Now, my strategy using Delwyn is simple, I used him to increase the attack power of one of the cards that can cause double damage on my opponent's monsters, which is the "Mushroom Seer".
Nectar Queen
This is the card I chose as a tank, since the battle is high mana, my strategy was to place a strong monster with great life at the beginning, but that could surprise my opponent at any time if they get to hit an attack, that's why I used my "Nectar", because at level 6 has 12 life, a speed of 4, 4 point melee attack and two skills, which are "Fly, and Retaliate".
Rexxie
My "Backup tank", a monster that may not be able to withstand so many attacks and does not have that level of resistance that I wish for so that my cards in my back team can attack, but with its great attack power and its "cheat" ability that allows it to annihilate a monster, it can immediately attack the next one, this way it could destroy faster the cards that go to the first position in its team or at least give me more time causing a good damage to a card and the rest of my cards finish the job.
Screeching Vulture
This is my third card with melee attack in my ranks, however, my idea of placing it here is primarily to attack my opponent's weakest card, which could possibly cause irreversible damage to my team. The second thing is that, if both my tanks fall and this card becomes my tank in the first position, it will most likely be able to dodge a large number of attacks because of its ability to fly and its great speed, which would give me a chance for the rest of my bottom line to continue attacking.
Mushroom Seer
One of my main ranged attack cards, this card possesses a strong magical attack capable of dealing direct damage to the health of my opponent's tank. In addition to this, it possesses two skills that help me greatly in battle. Firstly, the ability "Silence" which reduces the magic attack by one point, from all the cards with magic attack in my opponent's field, plus there is the great ability "Poison", when my card succeeds in hitting an attack, there is a good chance that it will be poisoned and lose 2 points in its health each round.
Child of the Forest
The card of this challenge and that in my strategy helped me a lot in the battle, despite having a single point of attack of rank, this to the only card with attack of rank that my opponent has in the field, which also has the great ability of "Poison", but thanks to my "Child and Screeching", I could defeat without many setbacks, in that sense his roll in the field his compliment perfectly and then support in the frontal attack in each main card in the field of my opponent.
Javelin Thrower
The last card in my formation and one of the most important in my attack on my opponent's front card, firstly, has great speed, so I would always be one of the first to make an attack on the field and thanks to his skill "Piercing", If my opponent's cards have a shield, it would go directly to the health of the cards, however, the reason I put it in this position is because of its "Dodge" ability, which gives me a high probability of dodging my opponent's melee attacks.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

line2.png

My strategy if it worked perfectly, each of my cards fulfilled their roll in the position that I placed them, even where I placed the "Child of the Forest", it fulfilled its function perfectly and was able to defeat the card that I thought was going to cause me more problems and that could defeat my tanks little by little, which was his "Haunted Spider", this way by defeating this card, I did not have much opposition from the rest of his cards.`

Of course, another time I could use this card, but on a higher level and in another set of rules, in which I have analyzed that it can work perfectly.

Do you use Horny Toad often? Why or why not?

line2.png

I don't use it often, however, it is a good card and very useful, because it consumes very little mana to invoke it, it also has a very good speed, so, without a doubt, I could buy more of these cards to be able to level it and thus use all its potential.
