Splinterlands Battle - A Battle with Mantoid with the earth team.

I'm attending the weekly battle challenge of splinterlands.
This week's theme was Mantoid.

Mantoid is a untamed monster in neutral splinter. This is a monster with ranged attack and some nice abilities.

This can level up to level 10 but for that I need a summoner of higher level also.
I don't have a summoner that's in higher level so I tried this monster on level 1 with my level 1 death summoner.

Power: This is a nice card with 2 ranged attack, 2 speed and 5 health in level 1.

Abilities:

Snipe Ability:
Targets enemy monsters with ranged, magic or no attack that are not in the first position

This ability can be found at level 1.

Snare Ability:
When attacking enemies with flying, removes the flying ability and cannot miss.

This ability can be found at level 6.

I played with earth monster team.

It was a battle of total 13 mana with one rule and that is-
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

ABILITIES: Reach at level 1, Piercing at level 6.

This is a earth monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (1), Speed (3), Shield (1), Health (2).

It has one ability in the first level which is-
Reach: Melee attack monsters with the reach ability may attack from the second position of the team.
And another ability in the sixth level which is-
Piercing: If melee or ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's armor, the remainder will damage the targets health.

It has another ability in the sixth level which is-
Snare: When attacking enemies with flying, removes the flying ability and cannot miss.

Battle Details

My Battle

• Round 01
  
  The enemy team started the battle with the first attack with goblin chariot and killed the furious chicken of my team with one shot. Then both monsters of my team attacked two monsters of the enemy team but couldn't kill anyone.

• Round 02
  
  Goblin chariot of enemy team attacked first on minotaur warrior of my team but lucky minotaur warrior had an armor which save its health and then the minotaur attacked and killed goblin fireballer of the enemy team. And then mantoid of my team attacked and killed the goblin chariot of the enemy team.

• Round 03
  
  This was the last monster of the enemy team who attacked and killed 2 health out of 3 of minotaur warrior or my team and then minotaur attacked back with 1 attack and killed 1 health out of 3. Then mantoid of my team did the right thing by killing the enemy monster with 2 attacks otherwise my team will be the loser.

My team finished the battle in this round.

  I was the winner of that battle with 23 points and 0.004 DEC.

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

Yes my strategy worked nicely and I might try similar monsters with nice powers next time when I do some battle.
