Gelatinous cube is a very particular card, if used with strategy it can really turn the tide of a battle. for example, you can use it to protect your last position from enemy attacks, since it recharges a life each turn.

I chose the arlic stormbringer summoner

in the front row I deployed the tireless sea monster.

in the second row, having a high mana to spend I deployed crustacean king, supporting sea monster.

in third position I deployed the subject of our post, gelatinous cube.

I deployed it to defend pirate arcer in fourth position in case sea monster was shot down.

I really like pirate arcer because he has a very low mana but he has the ability to hit two monsters at the same time and in some cases he can make you win the game.

advancing one mana I placed creeping ooze in the last position, very nice character. in the case of attack in the last position, it would shield the archer in the penultimate position.

as you can see from the battle link, I didn't even have to use the cube's skills, because sea monster held the first position very well.
