Hi There.

How are you guys are doing?

I hope that you all are well by the grace of Almighty Allah.

Today, I'm here again to share another one of my drawings that I have drawn using watercolor. This is a drawing of a splinterlands monster that I made by watching the original one. Though I made a few changes to it. But, I hope that you're gonna like my work.

My Drawing

It's a legendary dragon monster named SHIN-LO. This drawing is to join the splinterlands art contest of splinterlands which is arranged by the @splinterlands team. I'm also participating in the splinterlands social media challenge contest by sharing this post in my social media accounts including other sites of this blockchain this contest is also arranged by the @splinterlands team. You can follow the links that are given here if you feel interested to join. And to play or join splinterlands you can use my refer link.

At first, I've used a 4B pencil to draw the main body of my drawing. And while drawing I've decided to not use any type of eraser to correct my mistakes. So, I had to make my lines correct, and drawing it that way took me a lot of time. It took me almost 70% time of making the whole drawing. The hard part was to draw the fingers, nails teeth's and the tail of this dragon. It had to be accurate.

And now begins the coloring part. I made a change in it. I changed its body color. It was red before. I thought what about some changes. Then the idea came into my mind and I did it. It was another tough job to bring out the golden color using the yellow color. I've used watercolor and two brushes to complete this one.

And in the final step, I've also added a background to it. Without any background, it looked kind of empty in a piece of white paper. And also I need some ideas to make better background and also I need to know that how can I make the color lighter. I don't want to make the background more colorful and eye-catchy than the main drawing. And another question to you if you know art, should I draw the background first and then the drawing? And if I do that will it affect my drawing?

Which one is better?

  • With Flash.

This was all about my today's drawing. I'm kind of being bored using the same tools always, I'd love to make some changes that will also improve my work. Lately, I was thinking about using acrylic color instead of watercolor. Will it be better to use it or there are other types of colors that'll be better for me. Please suggest to me if you know anything about it.

I hope that you've liked my drawing. Follow me to see more drawings regularly. Stay at home and stay safe.

Thanks a lot for your precious time. Have a nice day.
