Hello again mighty hiver, my second participation in the weekly @splinterlands Art Contest is here, and this time with the fan art of an interesting magical creature -Elven Mystic- a magical elf with an air of clandestinity, which assured me a close victory, I'm still not very good at playing it must be because I resist reading the details of the gameplay of the cards, but anyway, I leave you with the creative process.
Hola de nuevo poderoso hiver, mi segunda participación en el @splinterlands Art Contest semanal está aquí, y esta vez con el fan art de una criatura mágica interesante -Elven Mystic- un elfo mágico con aires de clandestinidad, lo que me aseguro una victoria reñida, aún no soy muy bueno jugando debe ser porque me resisto a leer los detalles de la jugabilidad de las cartas, pero en fin, los dejo con el proceso creativo.

After a good detailed look at the character, it reminded me of this scene from the videoclip of "Pecador" by Residente, a great piece by the way, so I took as a base a similar atmosphere looking for that mystical element.

The character is represented in a symmetrical way, something I was about to break, but I had to understand the distinctive element of the character, his tunic, so I made a small and quite simple study of it and then with the 3D model I set up an interesting and asymmetrical pose to be able to merge this data in the work.
El personaje está representado de manera simétrica, cosa que me disponía a romper, pero debía comprender el elemento distintivo del personaje, su túnica, así que hice un pequeño estudio bastante simple de ella y luego con el modelo 3D puse en marcha una postura interesante y asimétrica para poder fusionar estos datos en la obra.

The ritual this time was different than usual, starting with a dark base of 1300 x 1700 px I wanted to avoid symmetry as I said, but if I started from it I would know how to give it a twist, so I placed well the center of the plane with the vector layer along with two lines parallel to the center that helped to locate my sketch.
El ritual esta vez fue diferente a lo habitual, empezando por un base oscura de 1300 x 1700 px quería evitar la simetría cómo ya dije, pero si iniciaba desde ella sabría cómo darle un giro, así que ubique bien el centro del plano con la capa de vectores junto a dos líneas paralelas al centro que ayudo a ubicar mi boceto.

I added the birds accompanying the wizard with a spectral air and doubled the pentagram to give a teleportation effect or at least in my mind it works that way. xD.

Añadí las aves que acompañan al mago con un aire espectral y duplique el pentagrama para dar un efecto de tele-transportación o al menos en mi mente así funciona. xD
ALCHEMY OF COLOR 🧪 ALQUIMIA DEL COLOR
Achieving this progression felt like combining different chemicals for a concoction, because it was about experimenting with the different modalities of the layers, and it was something very experimental for me, so I hope to talk more in detail about these layers and how to use them to give color to a black and white drawing, for the moment I can say that the layers -COLOR, HUE, OVEREXPOSE and LIGHTEN- were the ones I used by pure trial and error until I found a result that I liked.
Lograr esta progresión se sintió como si combinará diferentes químicos para un brebaje, pues se trató de experimentar con las diferentes modalidades de las capas, y fue algo muy experimental para mí, por lo que espero hablar más a detalles de estas capas y como usarlas para dar color a un dibujo blanco y negro, por el momento puedo decir que las capas -COLOR, TONO, SOBREEXPONER Y ACLARAR- fueron las que use a pura prueba y ensayo hasta dar con un resultado que me agradara.

To finish I gave some accent to the blue aura that surrounds him with a pointillism brush, give some shine to the pentagrams and of course add the mystical chain that the original character carries on his feet. And this is how the whole process looks like.
