Splinterlands - Dark Energy Crystals are like stablecoins!

They are amazing when assets you want to buy are going down so you can buy more of them and cheaper, but they are not particularly great when everything is going up and you are stucked with these stablecoins that are just keeping their value intact.

1000 DEC will always be 1$ or be very close to 1$ and that itself is a double-edged sword.

It's great to have it in the game.
It's great to be able to earn it just by playing.
It's great to be able to actually buy something else with it.

On the other hand, I don't think it's very smart to hold dark energy crystals as an investment - it's just a very bad stablecoin!

Currently it's possible to sell 1000 DEC for 7 HIVE.
This is an excellent deal in my opinion.

Packs are obviously much more interesting investments than these crystals because they are getting a little by little more scarce every day. With the upcoming Splinterlands expansion some cards could also become very useful, but it's hard to know which ones.
