The HIVE blockchain was made for games!

It's a very different feeling playing games on blockchains that have transaction fees because every action costs some money. Playing a game on a blockchain like that can become quite expensive so rationally you would rather not play at all!

This is a problem that HIVE games don't have because HIVE blockchain is feeless. On a feeless blockchain your actions are free. It's actually kind of a big deal.

There are working games on HIVE such as Splinterlands, dCITY, Rising Star and many more. Some are not even released yet! They are not just fun to play, but most of the time their in-game tokens have a real value. It's wise to earn those in-game tokens by playing these games because you can use them any way you want. You can invest them back into the game, but you don't have to. The choice is yours.

It's like a passive income. Till the games work and have a playerbase then someone will always want to buy and use these in-game tokens. The truth is that sometimes they can hold their value even better than major cryptocurrencies so it can be really smart to hold on to them.

What do you think?
Stay good.

It's a better alternative than spending your money on mobile apps for skins and gacha. At least here you get a potential kickback or lose it all entirely. the thing to keep in mind is, while it is a game, the investment side of things can complicate your "fun" time. Hive has potential for starting and making good income for cheap games. I think it's one of those areas where this blockchain can excel but we need more diverse games to make that happen. Putting your money playing these games can actually give more returns than regular curation.

Splinterlands on mobile could be huge.
People will finally understand that the play-to-earn model exists.

The blockchain was made for a lot of things since fees eat into everything.

Gaming is a prime example of where Hive is of benefit over a lot of other options out there. This is also true for DeFi.

Best thing I noticed is that a lot of games shares revenues with their players. Nobody are forcing them with taxes.

I am very happy I decided to get back into hive. The games are promising. I don't see incentive to hop into dCity this late into the game without being an absolute whale. It's expensive to even get started on that game, let alone get far enough into it where you can receive some kickbacks. I dove into Rising Stars yesterday and plan on slow grinding it as I think the game itself has a lot of growing and I want to grow along with it.

I see hive being an excellent blockchain for sports betting too. Surprised nobody has started that yet.
