If yer selling Splinterlands cards on Peakmonsters, always check the display on Splinterlands first !

I've been selling off a few of my spare Splinterlands cards recently, as @nealmcspadden once famously (at least in my mind) said 'all of us probably think we're over-invested in Splinterlands'.

I'm only selling a few, I'll hold most of the rest until Land kicks in when he prices will probably increase, but I wanted to take some profit now, to rebalance out of the Hive ecosystem a little.

One tip to avoid selling at a bargain price is to always double check the price display on Splinterlands rather than Peakmonsters (where I sell my cards) as I think it gives you a much better feel for how your prices are perceived in comparison to other cards.

For example, here's where I've priced some of my 'Divine Healers' for sale - at around $0.55 - just about the cheapest you can get for single cards.

These singles are 5 times more expensive than the BXC price for a maxed card, which do tend to be cheaper, and more so when you compare BETA singles and maxed compared to more recently released cards....

However, the other day I logged into Peakmonsters, checked the sale price of this particular card and saw that the 'low buy' was at $0.11 - I wondered if I'd entered my original price incorrectly, but all that had happened, when I checked on Splinterlands where I just think it's much clear, was that someone had come in and put a few single cards up for sale at $0.11 - so they appeared just above the maxed cards, and MUCH cheaper than 'the usual singles prices'.

That was this morning and those cards have been snapped up, and normal service has resumed (come to think of it I should have bought them myself!)

So just a hint - use Peakmonsters to sell your cards in bulk, but always double check where they actually appear on the main site Splinterlands.

And as I said, it's probably better to hold for a little longer, this is just my impatience getting the better of me! Actually I think I may got cancel a few sell orders, or put the prices up!

'all of us probably think we're over-invested in Splinterlands'.

The great thing about the crypto pump is that my percentage of assets in Splinterlands has decreased without me having to do a thing!

I'm just glad I missed out on buying a tract, that $750 has done VERY WELL elsewhere.

I can't imagine a 'guaranteed keep' would have made up for having that money locked-in the game for the last couple of months.

Then again, anything can happen in crypto and one has to focus on the Positives.

At least the card prices are holding up in dollar terms I guess.

At the time of land presale, Hive was shit priced and DEC was near at peg price.

I am happy that I holded my swap.hive that I get from selling 650K DEC at that time because in this 2 bull run of Hive, I converted it into 2 million DEC.
Nice 300K surplus even after buying tract .(If I purchase it.)

Good move - I'm very glad I missed out buying a tract in the pre-sale, fancy having had all that money locked up now!

I've got a decent deck already, very few I want to upgrade, and TBH I'm getting a bit tired of new cards requiring MORE money to spent!

I've been thinking about selling some of mine too as I have way too much invested in SL compared to elsewhere. But I need to clarify my overall strategy a bit first. Plus actually get to grips with what I actually have in terms of value in other tokens. I'm very, very slow at this stuff but making progress little by little.

Oh yes . . . and thanks for the tip. 😁

It's a tough one - what do you compare to....?

Dollars, Hive?

I dunno!

TBH I think waiting until LAND is probably a better time to sell - so I'm not going to be lowering my asking prices!

Yeah. That's what I've been thinking that way too. I was waiting to see whether I might want to put them to work too. I've never sold a card yet but in my process of trying to consolidate I've been thinking about it.

I've been just getting slammed and get out of gold league since the rule change that let's the whales players stay in lower leagues - i've been thinking of taking some profit here as well -

i have some plots though , so will probably just wait to see if the lands continue to make it a 'pay to win'

i stopped upgrading and just started dumping $dec for profit lately

I'm pretty bored of the game too TBH.... it is getting harder, for sure, but not more fun.

I generally buy from Splinterlands because it is very convenient there. I am keeping all my cards to see how they fit in land or get value when land become alive.
