This week we are doing FLAMESMITH

The Featured Monster

This week's featured Monster is from the Fire Splinter: FLAMESMITH

FLAMESMITH comes with the ability Shatter at level 1 and gains another ability at level 6. My FLAMESMITH is at Level 4.

It has a Speed of 3 and a Range attack of 3.

It has an Amor of 1 and a Health of 4.

The Ruleset

• Armored Up- all Monsters have two Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
• Taking Sides- Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.

The Strategy

1. Field a Monster with the Heal ability for the initial tank, and a Monster with a Tank Heal to restore the Health of succeeding tanks.

2. Field Monsters that can attack enemy monster from the back position.

3. Critical to the team: Field the FLAMESMITH whose ability is to SHATTER: target's Armor in destroyed when hit by this Monster.

4. Critical to the team: Field the Flame Monkey whose ability is to REPAIR: restore armor to the friendly Monster whose Armor has taken the most damage.

5. Winning strategy: Not the strength of the individual monster but the TEAM of MONSTERS was key to winning this battle.

The Lineup

Summoner: Daria Dragonscale- Add 1 Melee attack to all friendly Monster.

1. Cerberus: Heal- has 3 +1 Melee attack, a Speed of 4, Health of 7, and a +2 Armor. This Monster has the ability to restore a portion of its health at the beginning of each round. I chose Cerebus as my tank.

2. Manticore: Flying, Reach, Thorns- has 2 +1 Melee attack, Speed of 3, Health of 8, +2 Armor. This Monster has increase chance of evading attacks from Melee or Range monsters. It has the Reach ability that allows it to attack when at the second position. It also has Thorns ti di damage back to a Melee attacker. I always use Manticore in the second position, also great as a tank.

3. Serpentine Spy: Opportunity- has 2 +1 Melee attack, Soeed of 5, Health of 2, and +2 Armor. This Monster may attack from any position and will target the enemy with the lowest Health.

4. Beetle Queen: Tank Heal- has 2 Magic attack, a Speed of 4, a Health of 2, and 1 +2 Armor. I have this Monster as a support for the tank: to Heal, as well as to deliver attacks to the enemy tank.

5. Theme Monster FLAMESMITH: Shatter- has a Range attack of 3, a Speed of 3, a Health af 4, and a 1 +2 Armor. Since all enemy monsters have armors, the Shatter Ability is of this Monster most helpful. Target Monsters armor will be destroyed when hit by this Monster!

6. Flame Monkey: Repair- has 1 +1 Melee attack' a Speed of 3, a Health of 2, and +2 Armor. This Monsters role is to repair armor. As it turned out, it was the armor of the tank! This Monster saved the day!!!

The Battle Result

My opponents cards were gold cards! I was a bit intimidated.

All my Monsters perform according to plan. My strategy worked very well. One by one, eney Minsters were eliminated, until there was no one left standing.

The enemy was squashed, with all my Monsters intact!
