Weekly Hive Gaming Report - dCity, Splinterlands, RisingStar, CryptoBrewmaster

A lot going on in this Hive gaming report. I keep finding new games on the Hive blockchain. So far most of them are management RPG type games like dCity and RisingStar. I'm having a lot of fun playing them though and beginning to earn a little extra crypto too. So far so good, and I am having fun!

I'll start out with dCity again this week. I've probably got the most going on here.

I booted up my computer last night and discovered a natural disaster had hit the tiny town of DoodsVille and the citizens had resorted to civil unrest.

As the unofficial mayor of DoodsVille my only comment is:

Not sure how that works but by the following day, things have returned to normal.

The job center is doing its thing and I'm now mining mostly immigrants and homeless, I did luck out with some scientists though.

Had 2 people unemployed and bought a public restroom to employ them. It's popularity is -1 for public restrooms but DoodsVille is having a small issue with homeless moving in and we don't want people leaving excrement all over the place. DoodsVille is a respectable town! This also increases income by 2.

Purchased a park for increased happiness

Purchased a university for increased education (Don't want a town of dummies roaming around DoodsVille)

Purchased a home to increase the population by 4 (I purchased the home because I had an unemployment issue. Still trying to figure out how that happened)

I currently need to hire 3 people. I've done that purposely so as the job center does it's thing people get hired. I'm going to try this for a week and see how it works out with hiring people. I may keep it that way and it will be one less thing I have to maintain. I like leaving this one alone and tweak everything once a week over the weekend.

Here's where I'm at currently. Not much changed from the previous week. I think I'm earning a couple more or a couple less sim from the previous week. The town is beginning to grow though. We have population growth of 13 people since last week.

Nice improvement in stats. Here were last weeks. No increase in earnings though.

Splinterlands

Not a lot going on here to report. Doing my nightly quests, I'm currently in Gold III league. Trying hard to hit my max tier this season. I've been focusing on building my deck power.

I'm currently at 259,930 from 257,641 giving us a power increase of 2289. I need 325,000 to get to the next max tier. At this rate I'm going to be here for awhile. I'm currently using all my DEC to upgrade individual cards and haven't been buying any packs for the time being.

Here's where I'm at now.

RisingStar

There's not a lot going on here since last week. I've only increased two levels since last week. I need to stay on top of my missions during the day more. I actually didn't realize this till now.

I've still got a slight ego issue, no matter what I do, I can't shake that ego. I may have to start taking cards in and out of storage in between missions. I think I need to get to level 75 to begin band auditions and move on. For now I'm earning Starbits and completing missions. Nothing new from last week to report.

Screenshot 20201121 at 5.54.28 PM.png

Earned a little over 20K Starbits since last week. I don't really have a need for any new cards so I'm just accumulating starbits for now. Here's where I was last week

CryptoBrewmaster

Started CryptoBrewmaster... The game could do with a good set of instructions. I clicked on a bunch of stuff and finally got it to do something. It took me a couple different tries of clicking on stuff till something happened. Starting to get the general idea now. I'll post more on this one as I learn. I don't have any type of strategy yet because I've just been fumbling about the game and still have no idea what I'm doing. I did manage to make my first bottle of brew somehow though.

I'm looking into a weed game soon too. It looks similar to the rest of them but you're a pot farmer. Sounds like good fun.

So I'm earning crypto tokens and building card decks. Sooner or later I'll have to look into the value of all this stuff outside of the obvious entertainment value. Till next week... Game on!

I'm recently started playing splinterlands (like 1 week) I literally love the fucking Game, at first obviously I registered to get money by playing the game, but just in these days I that opinion change a lot. LITERALLY LIKE IT SO MUCH.

No doubt! It's a really fun game for sure. Of all of them so far, Splinterlands is hands down my favorite as well. Welcome to the game. See you on the battlefield!

My city is very slowly growing. I will just try different cards as I earn enough to buy them.

I have put into the pool to get a couple of Splinterlands plots. I hope to get some this time and will see what benefit I get. I may upgrade a few cards now. Just need to decide if I invest in upgrading some summoners.

In Rising Star it is worth getting your ego down to increase what Starbits you get. Put some vehicles on the market at crazy prices unless you have a storage card and do a few lessons each day. Let me know what lessons you prefer and we may be able to trade some cards to optimise that. I do the production lessons, so don't really need other instruments.

I'm brewing the new beer in CBM as it sells for a bit more. I bought a resource pack to save some time. Will keep that ticking over.

Growing my city slow too.

I already gave up on the plots. I may try next auction but I suspect the same thing will happen as last time. I've been focusing on my summoners and individual cards too. I've noticed since the rules change there are a lot of better players or players with better stronger cards in the lower leagues now. So, I've been focusing on strengthening individual cards.

I'm gonna work on that ego issue sometime today. Each time I do I'm good for a couple days then the ego creeps back up.

I'm completely lost on Crypto Brewmaster. I got it to brew it's first brew somehow. I need to spend some time to figure this one out.

Cheers brother!

Wow, man, you're keeping busy with these games, it looks like. I just started playing Splinterlands again after another hiatus from that. I just wrote on Twitter that I have a Crypto Brewmaster account but that I haven't started actually playing, but I'll go ahead and say it here as well! It's a lot more important to interact on Hive/LeoFinance than on Twitter, really.

If I had unlimited funds to put into these games, I'd probably start playing more of them, but I kind of stretch my budget to the limit playing just Splinterlands sometimes. I'm also trying to get more tokens on LeoDex... so many places for the funds to go, I suppose. Sometimes it's hard to add another game, but the idea of being able to make even a little bit of a profit from playing a fun game is always tempting.

I think our Twitter presence is important because it does help introduce new people to this platform. I agree though, I've been spending much more time here lately and treating Twitter sort of secondary.

I'm still trying to figure out Crypto Brewmaster. I did manage to get it to create a beer the other day 🤣

As far as the money and these games for the most part I start out with the bare minimum needed. Then try to get the game paying for itself as quickly as possible. For the most part I only spend a few HIVE a week on almost all the games combined.

You earn DEC on Splinterlands and I just reinvest the DEC I earn into the game each week.

RisingStars you earn Starbits, again I just do the same thing reinvesting the starbits. I think that one was free to start too. This was probably the easiest one to get started and also the cheapest.

dCity I think was the most to get started so far. I forget what I spent there but it took a little bit to get the game to generate much sim.

Crypto Brewmaster I bought more stuff than I wanted to also, but I had no idea what I was doing and just kept clicking on stuff and some stuff I clicked on ended up in purchases. 🤣

My basic strategy though is to get each game generating it's own revenue then just reinvest in the game with whatever the in-game currency is.

I will admit though, when I want to advance or have the extra HIVE I toss a little more into the game. I do this with Splinterlands a lot, but I really love playing that game.

My goal right now is to get my collection rating on Splinterlands up so I can advance in the leagues a little bit. I find it slightly annoying they made that rating rule, but I absolutely understand why they did it. It is pretty easy to get pretty far up in the ranks with really weak cards. That should be a good thing, but it messes with the rewards when too many people exploit it. I sold my main collection that I had as @sharkmonsters almost a year ago now, but I'm playing as @no-hay-problema with a really modest/weak collection of cards.

I was a little grumpy about the rules change too. I'm over it now. I get why they did it also, but it took me a long time to get to where I was, felt like a rug pull at first. I'm over it now though, and enjoying the game again.

I remember sharkmonsters, seen you on the battlefield a couple times. Good luck with the new account, hope to see you on the battlefield!

Awesome reaction to the unrest in Dcity 😂

And congrats on training a scientist. Job centers are a great investment at the moment.

As the unofficial mayor of DoodsVille the citizens must abide! As does The Dood 🤣

I was pretty stoked about discovering that scientist too. I think I got real lucky there.

Cheers man!
