Shaky Week For Crypto Land But Some Projects Are Holding Strong!

What a week of ups and down for us all. Not great seeing things go red nearly every single day and the big drops and ups are not for the faint hearted. I'm a small investor and I'm feeling it, imagine those with big amounts in the crypto market it must be a crappy feeling. I've read articles that it is healthy to have these movements but sometimes I think are you sure these big ones are ok compared to small ones? I even saw Twitter feeds with Cathie Wood saying that we are still on target with BTC at 500k by the end of the year. We are coming up to June, from 36k to 500k by end of 2021, that would sure be an exciting ride for those holding BTC.
With all these drops, I noticed that my Splinterland value not only did not drop but also increased! No joke! Last week, my total value was $6544 but today when I checked, it's $6588! Its up $44!! Unbelievable. I am still in disbelief as I am writing this post but at the same time patting myself on the shoulder picking something that still holds value steadily and still increasing. The latest update from the team we can see they are getting ready to roll out the next stages of their plan and that is great news for the players. We love new things! The biggest anticipation has to be land by the end of the year.
Trying to figure out if I was wrong with my figures, I checked the total market cap for Splinterland and it is still comfortably over 14.5 mil. Totally impressive considering how the rest of the market is going. The other thing I've notice that is very investing is that at the time of writing, the last 24 hours of sales is still over $7000 meaning the demand is still needed. Players are still loving the game!
As over half of the untamed cards have been sold, things will start to get interesting once they sell out. If you are still needing more cards to complete your team or level up, do look into getting more packs and don't forget the more packs you get, the higher chance you get something cool in the next airdrop! See you on the battlefield!

$6588.94 USD? That is literally more than the double of my annual (!) pension-like income!
My pension-like income is approximately $250 USD per month, which is approximately $3000 USD per year.
Financial discrimination is at its best. This is Hungary.
I was one of the early players and also have been holding most of my cards from day 1. There are many bigger players out there with bigger collections coming from all different countries around the world so no financial discrimination there.
I meant the financial discrimination for my country, Hungary.
Not for the game. I do not have any problems with the game.
I live with multiple disabilities, and the government is giving me a very low (approximately $250 USD per month) pension-like income. Besides my pension-like income, nowadays I also work in a 4 hours per day part time job, but my income still does not reach the minimum wage, which is approximately $550 USD. Or rather would be, because people like me does not receive it. This is financial discrimination.
You think the current bloodshed in the crypto market is good? Here I read DBS started working to offer cryptocurrency related services to their private banking customers.

not thinking its game over, still have confidence this is just one of the many hurdles (just this one is a bigger one we have experienced for some time).
you guys in lockdown again? Friend in singapore said it is so rough with the kids now with the restrictions :(
I think the bank may use the dips to load up.
We are not calling is a lockdown but all default to work from home, no dining inside the eateries (all take out only), home based learning for two weeks before school holidays (when school holidays, I think it maybe difficult for the parents), gym are closed, social gathering restricted to less than 2 people. Many stores still allow to operate but nowadays going to the shopping mall is more for walking around not really buying things and stop for the lunch or dinner. With no dining in allow, people like me are mostly buying the cheap options nearer home. Strangely, retailers are calling for close down more.

Yes, Splinterlands assets have been a very good hedge in the current crypto market downturn.
I think it shows the huge interest in the game from outside the crypto world.
I know it is getting harder and harder to progress with my Lv 6-max summoner mainly Beta deck.
It seems like you need to spend hundreds of dollars on Legendary Summoners (like Yodin) to remain competitive even in Gold I League.
It is getting harder and harder to move up the league but happy to hang around diamond for now and not worry about the pack rewards, champion is harder and harder to reach.
Do you think all our cards will hold the same value going forward?
Video games start losing active users after a couple of years.
I still believe we have not reached our peak user base yet but this is the one thing that worries me.
Holding value I cannot comment but i have faith in the game so I'll be hanging onto my cards especially when land is out, you will probably need them. I think once more and more people come onboard, we will see it explode!
