Short Term Pain In Return For Long Term Gain

Things in the crypto world have been a bit crazy a the moment with BTC at all time high every day (which it seems like) and ones like Ripple gets ripped and lost 50% overnight the other day. The crypto world is like a gamble and this also means the same for games on blockchain like Splinterlands. Many of us see this game as an opportunity, be the early adaptors and hopefully can come out on top a few years down the track. I have been an advocate of the game and have been from day 1 I started playing. There are opportunities in this game, just if you are willing to take the risk for a potential bigger gain.

What I am trying to get to is I'm diving into getting some more pricer cards to keep up with the game as well as improve my game play. What I see in the cards these two years is the prices of the cards tend to be cheaper at first and as the game develops deeper with more ideas, the older cards are more expensive and by the time you want to get them, it's costing a bit more than what you were willing to pay. There are too many examples to list so the last few months, I have considered looking at getting some cards from the DICE and Untamed pack that I don't think I have a change of getting like Kralus & Oaken Behemoth. These monsters are great for high mana games as well as the ability to have two different attacks in one go. I don't like to buy packs that often as my luck has never been good so I normally just buy what I need from the market.

These monsters are cheap but I think they are worth it in the long run. The short term hit forking out the $$ can potentially allow me excel to a higher league and the possibility the monster is in high demand like Zaku. These two benefits have given me the idea to collect these monsters and looking for a long term gain as long as the game still exists.
