This is a perfectly fine option and I might even encourage it if possible. I had already made an Uphold account few years ago. It makes sense to keep your digital identity footprint smaller. You can still collect BAT rewards and use them for charity. This is what I said to @sweecee in a conversation we had.
You can make change in the world with voting with your wallet. You can support the creators/websites you consider to be doing a great job and you can do it at your own pace.

I love BRAVE, been using it on my phone and my desktop and eve with 5 ads per hour set I hardly even get 1 a day, seems to have dried up

It will take some time before more advertisers join BAT. I didn't expect the ads to dry up fast in UK too.We will really have to wait till the bull market. That will get more crypto projects interested in Brave ads thanks to all the restrictions by Facebook, Twitter etc.

I guess there are no ads now for Indians. I'm still continuing to use the Brave browser only for the fact that it is a bit more secure and has an inbuilt ads blocker. Otherwise no revenue from BAT for me.
