Why Hive is Lagging Behind?

So today I eventually jumped into it and bought 1 million Dec via a private deal worth 0.0807btc(920$). The DEC is for participating in the SL Land Presale. I am planning on buying at least a tract worth 850000 DEC and few random plats. I will also be be getting 1000 raffle tickets(NFT). Who knows how much they will be worth.

The Btc transaction was no fun at all, first it cost me 5$ as transaction fees and second the transaction is taking agonizing long time to validate. At the moment of writing, its been about 5hrs and yet my BTC transaction is not close to getting validated. Apparently the network is too congested for miners to prefer my transaction. Since I started my crypto carrier from steem(mother blockchain), so I am inherently not used to paying transaction fees and waiting for hour for transactions to validate. It is what it is, we Hivians hate to wait and pay transaction fees.

Waiting for btc transaction, made me realize the liberties Hive Blockchain offers. No transaction fees, a block time of just 3 secs and a vibrant community... Is there any other blockchain like that??? All of this makes me wonder why Hive is still so much unrated in crypto world. The success of Splinterlands and LeoFinance projects has shown what Hive blockchain is capable of. So what is holding Hive back?

There may be several reason holding Hive back. One reason is too much liquid Hive flowing with no sink. The best way to control this is by creating a business model that incentives buying off Hive from the market to pay for the adds on hive.blog. The will have two fold effect as more and more marketer will know of Hive and the hive from add revenue can be used for development or burnt. Second reason is lack of the centralized and coherent marketing effort. Several crypto influencers can be paid using Hive DAO funds, to publicize Hive blockchain effectively in the crypto sphere. We have something cool at our hands in the form of Hive blockchain and it would be shame if it is left behind due lack of publicity and marketing.
