Something is happening to the Splinterlands tournament scene. Major changes coming to Splinterlands? - Giveaway!

Four Tournaments.
Even on days when new tournament series are (assumed) to be incoming this is the lowest number of upcoming events Splinterlands has seen in months. Maybe ever. I believe this implies that there is a major change coming to the Splinterlands tournament scene OR Splinterlands as a whole.
Also, we are 11 hours from the end of a season.
This could be the early rumbles of a coming update, a very unfortunate powering down of the tournament system, a random blip on a specific metric, or dozens of other things far beyond our ability to predict. From the perspective of the author here: Splinterlands is a healthy game, the sky is not falling, and I trust the path forward.
What do you think is going on here? Most upvoted comment will best sent a free Gelatinous Cube!! If you don't have one of these you really have been missing out in any ruleset that deals damage each turn!

Nothing major is happening I think. Aggy just releases tournaments and decided to release them a bit later due to the Hive fork I believe.
Hive has had at least two bugs in the last week, and with the hardfork tomorrow, they are probably playing it safe. Don't be alarmed !
I'm sure the hardfork is part of it. It's a shame really because the rank reset is usually a chance to get into an extra few tournaments on the cheap.
Nice post! I am struggling to touch D1 league, but this season looks really hard...
Before the update I thought that the reason it's so few is because of the upcoming changes to the renting system. I thought that tournaments are going to be even more competitive with easy access to card rentals ingame and that organizers want to go with a bang full of tournaments after it has been implemented. At least that's what I think, before the update
Aggy said he would wait to schedule new tournaments until the Hard Fork has been completed, that's all
I'm guessing they have been infiltrated by Russians, if we don't act fast they will have all the cards next.
