Is Almo Cambio the new Lord Arianthus?

Almo Cambio is the latest installment of shiny toys in the world of Plinterlands. This legendary card of the reward affiliation just came into the scene and it is already a hit in the market at least.

Abilities

A maxed-out version of this card is truly a sight to behold. Despite not offering any direct attack on its own, the legendary monster is equipped with a lot of goodies that can do some serious damage.

It has immunity that ensures negative buffs don't affect it, reflects both magic and ranged attack, however, what makes it special is the phase ability.

Phase ability is the anew addition to the game that ensures that monsters with the ability can dodge magic attack. Almo is the only monster in the game that currently has this ability and it will be pretty interesting to see it in battle.

The Price

The least price for this monster is $10. At the time of writing, there are only 31 of these babies in circulation, so getting one puts you in an elite group.

You can also get it from completing daily quests and your seasonal rewards of course but that's usually a long shot, especially if you're battling in the lower ranks.

Lord Arianthus Comparison

Health

In a straight fight with Lord Arianthus, it would win. I mean, both of them technically can't fight each other, so it will be more about running down the clock and then letting fatigue do the rest. Since Cambio has more health, it wins the battle.

Ability

Both of them are pretty dangerous monsters and have special abilities. In this aspect, I still favour Lord Arianthus more since it is just so sturdy. On the other hand, Cambio is nimbler and that phase ability might make the monster interestingly slippery in battle.

Then again, it is worth noting that Cambio costs only 7 mana and offers more health, especially in back to basics ruleset.

Price comparison

The best price you can get a single piece of each card is $10. However, if you intend to buy a maxed-out version of Lord Arianthus, you will spend roughly $7 per piece.

Inference.

It is a tough decision for me but since I've been using Lord Arianthus for a while, I have an interest in trying something new for a change. Therefore, yes I think getting a Cambio is a good idea but it is in no way going to phase out the use of Lord Arianthus.

That's what I was thinking. It's definitely going to be powerful in the same way. I wonder if there are ways to put that dude up front and Lord Analthesaurus in the back and just put all of the attackers in the middle. I can think of ways it could work out pretty well.

Add one triage and one Frontline healer, and you have a wicked combo.

I have to say it is. I am going to be patient with waiting on more Almos going to the market as right now it is very expensive.

It is an amazing tank because unlike Lord A it can actually evade magic. You can even buff him much faster than he already is. He might be expansive now but there will be many more printed over time. Just remember how expansive the Robo-Knight was in the beginning and how cheap it is now.

My thoughts exactly.I suspect the price will drop to the $5 range when more cards are in circulation
