Happy weekend to all splinterlands nerd, it was a good one at my end and while thinking about what to post i realized i could make some splinterland post even tho i didn't want to at first but checking the battle challenge, it was about retaliation and i had a particular match this night which was superb as my lord of darkness and the opponent lord of darkness killed each other making use of the retaliate chances they got.....

The retaliate ability is majorly for the melee monsters and it can be very useful in certain rules that favors melee monsters, so i had a battle with #jigstrike in which the rules stated that all melee attack have the sneak ability.

Death splinter is one of my favorite when it comes to such rules and the reason is because of lord of darkness, it is just too strong and the abilities it possessed makes it a beast on the arena, i was not surprised when my opponent used it too..

When i saw his kitty summoner, i smell trouble because the kitty never miss her target but i was a bit relaxed because my crypt mancer reduced the melee attack and also slow it down a bit..

SET UP

• LORD OF DARKNESS & DARKEST MAGE

The lord of darkness is a very brutal monster so the best position to put it is at the front war so it can wreck havoc and i supported it with the mage so it can remove the armor of the opponent incase they have any as to clear path for the lord to hit well.

• UNDEAD BADGER & SKELETON ASSASSIN

These were the two sneak monsters i used even tho it is meaningless because the rule itself state that all melee have sneak attacks, i used them because of their low mana and speed and they performed beyond expectation as i was expecting the opponent cocatrice to be a problem but they took him down with one hit..

• SHADOWY PRESENCE & COCATRICE

The shadowy is used to boost the life of all the monsters on its team and its inspire ability also add one melee to all friendly monsters and coca was placed at the last position because it is very hard to hit but unfortunately the opponent came with kitty so it didn't perform to expectation..

Oh well, i won! season is going to end in two days time, the account i play is ranking 1st position right now, if only season can end already lol.. The real competition start 8 hours to season end.. see y'all
