Splinterlands - SCREAMING BANSHEE (Weekly Battle Post)

When I first started playing Splinterlands and opened an alpha card pack my first alpha was the Screaming Banshee. Not to say I loved it but because it was my first Epic card I will always remember the moment. Now over a year of playing this I have a level 4 alpha version of it where it has the ability blast.

Through the year I have been strengthening my deck collection but lack focus on death splinter. Still I have a reasonable collection to say that I would be competitive in a silver/gold rating match. Here is one instance of me playing with my death splinter.

The match had rule set little league and low mana match of 29. The restricted splinters allowed to battle made me lean toward death since I have sufficient 4 mana monsters and below to use. From the battle screen shot you can clearly see I had higher level monsters than my opponent hence I had the upper hand.

In less than 3 rounds I was able to knock out all my opponent's monsters and still had 3 monsters alive on the battle field. The magic and range attacks in my formation was effective in nullifying the aggressive melee attacks from my opponent. Another help was that majority of my opponent's monsters all but one had health lower than any of my monsters. It would only take one hit to knock out some of my opponent's monsters.

Animated Corpse was my tank while I put in Screaming Banshee and Undead Priest in the middle of the formation. I end with three range attackers in Haunted Spider, Twisted Jester, and Centaur.

My opponent leads off with Cerberus and follow up with Magma Troll, Kobold Miner, and Serpentine Spy. They finish off with Spark Pixies and Beetle Queen. All my opponent's monsters were able to attack from round 1 and beyond which is beneficial with fire splinter. Their monster speed is also helping in the match.

However my formation had multiple monsters above level 1 and health in monsters higher than my opponents. This is a good example of investing in one's deck. I will hope to continue upgrading my death deck by first increasing my summoner which right now is at level 4 rare. Hope to get max summoners down the road soon.
