Splinterlands - Silvershield Sheriff (Weekly Battle Post)

Life splinter has always been good with range monsters with the likes of Peacebringer, Evangelist, Silvershield Archers and Air Elemental. What I have not used as often and pay close attention to is the Silvershield Sheriff. After this post and playing with the monster card I have now lean towards using it more under situations where it is high mana matches. Below is a post of my use of Silvershield Sheriff in one of my battles today.

A match that was high in mana count but limited to splinters other than water and earth. The rule sets were weak magic and lost legends. I went with life splinter and so did my opponent. The setup in formation between both of us were almost identical.

Within 1st round my opponent's Goblin Mech was knocked out and by the early stages of round 3 my Goblin Mech was knocked out. This was not before I knocked out two more monsters on my opponent's side. By the start of round 4 my opponent had only Silvershield Sheriff and Evangelist and by the end of the round they were knocked out.

The key parts to my easy win was I had higher attack with combination of Peacebringer, Wind Elemental, and Silvershield Sheriff. Like I said earlier I see Life splinter having a lot of very good range attack monsters. In addition to my higher stats compared to my opponent the levels of my monsters were mostly higher than theirs. It goes to show what investing a little more time and $$$ into the game can get me. A nice win and good use of the range attack monsters.

Since now I have some familiarity in using Silvershield Sheriff I intend level up the card. The initial investment would be to get it to level 3 to get piercing ability, but overall goal would be at minimum level 6 where there is a third ability of protect. I can imagine combining Silvershield Sheriff with other defensive cards will allow an even stronger defensive setup.
