Another week passed by but this week was quite complex for me. First of all, yesterday I made an accident with my bike and lost my thumbnail of the right leg. I have taken the necessary medicine and injection and just hope it grows back quickly. I haven't got out of my house since I have visited the doctor. Been a rough week, really.

On the other hand, Since DICE edition cards have been released, people are buying a lot of them and enjoying the new abilities. But in the meantime, I have managed to buy 3 good max cards for my collection. I have bought a max Gobin Thief, Failed summoner and some Flame monkey and made it level 6. There are a lot of untamed tournaments happen in the event section and I gotta win some from them so building my Untamed decks slowly over time.

If you have visited my blogs previously, you know already that not only I love to play splinterlands, but also I like to make blogs on this game. I mainly post blogs about SpLinterlands in the Hive and other social media. I also partake in weekly battle challenge and social media curation posts and many of my friends do so too.

If you are a Splinterlands lover just like me, clearly you know about the weekly challenge post where they give one theme every week and we write a quality post on it and stand a chance to get curated by team Splinterlands. This week, the theme is to write an article on the old fire card Kobold Miner! So let's take a deep dive into Splinterlands and meet with our challenger, The tiny troublemakers of the battlefield, the soil diggers, Kobold Miner!

Kobold Miner is an old dog. Its a beta/alpha edition card that belongs to the Fire reign. It possesses the sneak ability and costs 2 mana to use. This old little monster has the sneak ability from level 1 and he is very popular in melee friendly matches. Now let us have a look at his lore story!

The Kobolds of the Burning Lands are skilled at seeking and extracting precious stones from the innards of the planet. Their favorite tools are torches and hammers. Thanks to the extreme pride they take in their mining work, they happily accept their situation of servitude to the Torch.

Is Kobold worthy of fame?

Let's have a look into his stats and find out!

• Level 1 - In its initial level, it carries 1 melee attack with 2 health and 2 speed. It brings the Sneak ability with it.
• Level 4 - At level 4, it carries 2 melee attack at 2 speed and 4 health. It becomes a decent sneak attacker card.
• Level 10 - At max level, It possesses 3 melee attack with 6 health at 5 speed. It also possesses 2 abilities with it at max level as stated below.

Sneak

With this ability, if the monster will target the last monster in the line up instead of the first monster.

Current Market Status

Currently, there are a large no of max beta edition Kobold Miners available at the market. The lowest one is placed at 17.99$ (36,189.901 DEC as per current rate).

For alpha edition, there is currently a level 8 available at 17.50$ price (35,204.184 DEC) and the 1 bcx cards are starting from 0.22$.
I have a level 8 Alpha Kobold Miner in my collection. I have this little naughty miner for quite a long time since I have joined Splinterlands. Not to mention that I definitely think it is worthy of a choice for his low mana cost and sneak abilities.

• Ruleset So, It was a dual ruleset as below...

• • Earthquake (Non-flying monsters will lose 2 health at the start of every round).
• • Heavy Hitters ( All monster will have the knock out ability).

It's a very low mana match and I am thinking to go for the Fire summoner Malric deck with a group of melee and sneak monsters and the Kobold miner along with it.

At this ruleset, I have a very small mana limit in my hand, after using the summoner and Miner, I will be left with 8 mana, which is so little for those remaining 5 places. I have to choose it wisely as if I choose some very low 2/3 mana cards from collection.

After a little thinking, I decided to go with a sneak deck.

COCATRICE

I chose COCATRICE in the first place because of its high speed and evade ability. I have a level 7 and it has 1 melee attack, 6 speed and 4 health. It also carries 2 abilities with him such as...

• Flying - non-flying monsters will have a 50% chance to miss this monster when targetting.
• Evade - will have increased chances of evading enemy melee and ranged attacks.

KOBOLD MINER

I chose KOBOLD MINER in the second place because of its sneak ability. I have a level 8 and it has 3 melee attack, 4 speed and 5 health. It also carries the sneak ability with him as below...

• Sneak - With this ability, if the monster will target the last monster in the line up instead of the first monster.

ELVEN CUTTHROAT

I chose ELVEN CUTTHROAT in the third place also because of its sneak ability. I have a level 8 and it has 3 melee attack, 5 speed and 4 health. It also carries the sneak ability with him just like Kobold Miner as below...

• Sneak - With this ability, if the monster will target the last monster in the line up instead of the first monster.

ENCHANTED PIXIE

I chose ENCHANTED PIXIE in the fourth place because of its Inspire and flying ability. I have a level 8 and it has 2 magic attack, 4 speed and 4 health. It also carries 2 abilities with her as below...

• Flying - non-flying monsters will have a 50% chance to miss this monster when targetting.

• Inspire - All friendly melee monsters will have increased melee power (+1).

FURIOUS CHICKEN

I chose FURIOUS CHICKEN in the last place just to consume extra space and it may absorb one of my enemy's attack. I have a level 3 and it has 1 melee attack, 1 speed and 1 health. It does not carry any abilities at level 3.

Battle Result

Well, the match was simply awesome guys! The opponent used the mighty Selenia deck with water monsters on me but my sneak monsters got able to survive and kill down the enemies one by one.

First, let us follow the opponent's line-up...

• My opponent @corill used Dragon summoner Selenia against me.
• At the front position, he used Spineback turtle Level 10. He chose a die-hard beast to his front and I just hope I get able to kill this shielded beast with my mini n melee warriors.
• At the second position, he used Albrotos level 1.
• At the third position, he puts Pirate Archer lev 8.
• At the fourth position, he chose Crustacean King lev 10.

Especially in this 13 mana match, It was quite an unpredictable match because of the weird deck I had made. When you ave very little mana in hand, you always miss out your favourite cards in the battleground. But the most important thing is to outrun the opponent that's why I took a little risk this time.

As it was an earthquake match, I chose 2 flying monsters, Cocatrice and Pixie. Besides flying, coca is a popular choice in mini mana games for his unmatched Evade ability at high speed and it did save me from a couple of attacks most of the time.

On the other hand, pixie does not only help me with her flying ability but also will inspire my melee soldiers with +1 melee attack.

In the match, the sneak brother, Kobold and Elvin did a fabulous job and killed the down the backline of my opponent. They started it by taking down the Crustacean King and the Pirate archer after it.

My coca was helpless against the Turtle because of its Thrones ability. The return damages from the thrones ability killed down my coca but by then my sneak bros did their job ;)

It really was a great match and my opponent also had a great line up. Champion players surely know him and he indeed is a great warrior of the burning lands. Only this time I was luckier.
