Hello

I hope you're having a great day!

Welcome to my another Splinterlands Battle Challenge.

In this post; I'll share my winning match with WAR CHAANG in splinterlands.
And with this post; I'm going to join SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! WAR CHAANG

For a better experience, you may watch the battle direct from the splinterlands official website from the link below.

Link to the match.

THEME: WAR CHAANG
Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: EPIC
Element: NEUTRAL
ATTACK: MELEE & RANGED
ABILITIES: Retaliate at level 1; Trample at level 4.

They say that in the great battles on the other side of the world, Hellaphants were trained and outfitted as massive monstrosities of war. It was not generally believed that Hellaphants could be controlled until the Ferexia Torch began its Chaang Project. Hellaphants were abducted en masse from the Wastelands of the Unknown and taken to the training grounds near Mittreya's Hand. There, the Hellaphants were forged into soldiers to carry soldiers. They were molded into a new type of war machine, called Chaang - Source.

From the visual and from the official lore of the monster, we can see that this monster is something that's been used in war and I've only seen them in cinema before.

Although I used this monster in the battle in the third position as I used another double attack monster in the second position.

For splinterlands, this is a fantastic monster with a double attack.
I was kind of confused about the best position for this monster in the battle.

I've learned that it's best to use in the second position as it has both ranged and melee attacks.
From the second position, it can attack with a ranged attack and if the front monster dies then this monster can come to the front and attack with melee.

Stats of WAR CHAANG

Now my WAR CHAANG is in level 1 which offers me 2 melee attack, 1 ranged attack, 3 speed & 8 health with "Retaliate" ability.
And it needs 7 mana to play.

"CHALLENGE RULES"

Create a post sharing a video of one of your battles using the WAR CHAANG.

  • I've created this post sharing a gameplay link of one of my battles using WAR CHAANG.

Tag splinterlands.

  • I just finished tagging splinterlands.

Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why the WAR CHAANG is a good fit for the ruleset.

  • So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with Life splinter.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 46 with the "Reverse Speed and Up Close & Personal" Rules.
I used Life splinter for the match while my opponent used Earth (Gold Foil) splinter.

Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.

Summoner: TYRUS PALADIUM (RARE Life Summoner) - as summoner.

A Khymerian prophecy says that a chosen hero will rise from humble beginnings to wield the Silver Shield and the Silver Sword, uniting the world against evil. Whispers in Khymeria say that Tyrus Paladium, the talented summoner who began as a fisherman is that chosen hero - Source.

My TYRUS PALADIUM is in level 6 and she offers +1 shield to his monsters.
He needs 3 mana for battle.

  • In my personal opinion... WAR CHAANG is a nice fit for the ruleset for its power and abilities.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

  • Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly and I'll try to use similar helpful monsters next time if I need to.

Do you use the WAR CHAANG often? Why or why not?

  • No, I kind of started using it after I saw the monster as the theme card of this weeks battle challenge cause I didn't know about it.
I didn't know that this monster is that good.

Share your post to some OTHER Social Media site.

  • I'm going to share this post with #splinterlands hashtag on twitter after publishing this post.

On the battlefield.

image.png

My Cave Slug started the battle with its first attack and following other monsters of both teams started the massacre.
My War Chaang also did its first attack in this round although it missed the target.

image.png

Fourenemy monsters died before round 4.
And all of my monsters were alive with nice health.

image.png

At last... the whole team of the enemy died and I didn't lose a single monster from my team.
It was indeed a fantastic battle that my team fought.

This person really don't understand the basics of the game.
I was unable to see the rules of the game.
I noticed is almost only melee attackers your opponent used, so I presumed is only melee attackers that are eligible to fight.

Now just like you used Melee attackers that have the snipe ability at the back that's what your opponent should have also used.
But I feel your opponent lack some of the game basics.
Meanwhile you would have still won cause you had a legendary, epic and upgraded cards.
The defeat wouldn't have been a total annihilation.

Just my observations. Nice cards though.

Hi! You totally DO understand it, it seems!

Yes, the ruleset was Melee Mayhem meaning only melee monsters could be used. However, this week's Battle Challenge was to use the War Chaang (the elephant) which has both melee and ranged, allowing it to be used in this battle and giving quite the advantage.

And you are quite astute to notice his ever-so-slightly better deck than his opponent, and the use of a Legendary.

Great observations!

Great game!

Yes, I would generally put the War Chaang in 2nd position, for exactly the reason you said. But... for melee mayhem, because only melee monsters can be used, I'd probably stick him a little further back, letting him get as much ranged action in there as he can. And with his higher health, I find him smooshy enough to take a bit of a beating before making it to front position.

Nice job!
