Splinterlands Weekly Challenge | The power of Captain Ghostđź‘»

avatar

This is a new week, and it's time for a new challenge sponsored by @splinterlands and @carrieallen, this way, I want to congratulate again the whole game team for encouraging us to keep playing and having fun with it, I am very grateful for having come this far and keep having fun and at the same time winning great rewards through the HIVE Blockchain.

I am very excited about this new challenge using the card called "Captain Ghost", it was really great, I had a great battle and I could perfectly perform my game strategy, because, I had thanks to the rules of the battle and its total mana, enough slack to place several of my strongest cards of my Water Splinter, which allowed me to win the battle accurately and quickly.

Now let's get to know this letter in depth, come with me...

This is one of the new reward cards added to the game recently, it is a very good addition to the Water Splinter, especially thanks to the skills it possesses, it is also a demanding monster due to its high mana, so basically it is very good to use it for this kind of high mana battles. Its great magic power and its native skill called "Affliction", can prevent cards with the "Heal and Tank Heal" skills, from recovering their health in each round, also in higher levels, specifically in level 5, it gets the "Oppress" skill, which is a big problem for those monsters that don't have attack, because they receive double the damage to their health.

It's time to describe my strategy and my battle for the challenge, it was a high mana battle, where I could highlight my strategy. I basically focused on attacking first, that is, increasing the speed of my cards and using the great magic power of my cards to go directly for the health of my opponent's monsters, this allowed me to defeat each of my opponent's cards quickly and accurately. Likewise, come with me, so you can see in detail the process of the battle.

Rule of my battle

Equalizer and Heavy Hitters with 46 Mana

  • Mana: 46
  • Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
  • Heavy Hitters: All Monsters have the Knockout ability.

Alric Stormbringer

The perfect summoner for this battle would undoubtedly be my "Alric", as his native ability allows him to increase the power of the magical attack by one point, which would unleash great strength for most of my cards with this type of attack, so in this sense, my summoner is the mainstay of my strategy, although not the only one.

The Kraken

This was a very particular battle and with very easy rules to understand and manage, of course the amount of mana of it, allowed me to have more freedom when choosing my cards, since one of the rules was "Equalizer", which causes all cards in the field to get the same amount of health as the card with the most life in the field, so the best tank for this specific battle is my "Kraken" with its 14 life points and its "Taunt" skill which allows all of my opponent's cards to target only my kraken while mine attacks their alignment.

Medusa

This is the card that I chose as a backup for my "The Kraken" Tank, since besides having a moderate magic attack thanks to my "Alric", its ability at level 3 is what interests me specifically for this rule, in that my "Medusa" can "Stun", means that due to the battle rule called "Heavy Hitters", all my cards would get the ability of "Knock Qut", this way my strategy is that, my "Medusa" stuns my enemies, while the rest of my cards attack and thus can cause double damage to their tank.

Spirit Miner

One of my key cards for this strategy is my "Spirit Miner", I placed it in the third position, so that it would be the back of the card that comes after this one, in addition, its "Dodge" ability, would allow it to dodge the greatest number of possible melee attacks, at least giving me a little time so that the rest of my cards would continue attacking, as long as this would happen if they defeated my "Kraken". Another very important aspect of my strategy is the second skill of my "Spirit", which is Swiftness, this gives all my cards one more point of speed and my main objective at this point was to attack first.

Ruler of the Seas

One of my favorite cards in the whole game, and one of the strongest and most useful in my Water Splinter. Firstly, its great attacking power and its "Blast" ability, allowed me to inflict double damage on my opponent's lineup. Another important and decisive thing in my strategy, is that my Ruler has the same skill of my Miner, which is Swiftness, in that sense, it increases again the speed of all my cards, giving me much more advantage to attack first and destroy faster all the cards of my opponent.

Captain Ghos

The card of this challenge, that could not be missing in my strategy and that fit perfectly in this alignment, this is due to its great ability and power of attack, because, there was the possibility that my opponent could use a card with the ability of "Tank Heal", this way my "Ghost", with his ability "Affliction", was going to prevent his tank to recover from that ability, however, my opponent did not use any card of this type, which did not matter much, since equally the power of attack my "Captain" was sufficient.

Water Elementary

Another of my favorite letters and the last letter of my lineup. This is a really strong and useful monster in battle, first of all, its "Heal" ability allows it to recover in every round and with the 14 lives obtained thanks to the battle rule and my "Kraken", it would be almost indestructible in that last position, protecting my team in the baseline and also using its great speed and attack power to defeat my opponent.

My strategy worked perfectly, I thought of every move my opponent could use against me, plus I perfectly fitted my "Captain Ghost" into my alienation, using the skills of two of my cards to increase the speed of my entire team, which gave me the full advantage against my opponent.

On the other hand, next time I will try to fit this same strategy into other different battle rules, I really liked this training I used and I'm sure it could work with other rules.

image.png

Yes, I have used my "Captain Ghost" before, it is a very good card, I like very much its "Affliction" skill, I usually use it very often, since most of the strategies of the players are going to place a big tank with the "Tank Heal" skill so that it is much more complicated to defeat their tank and the rest of their cards allow them to defeat their opponents, it is for this reason that it fits perfectly in my moves and if I play correctly, I could easily defeat this type of strategies.

Thanks for sharing! - @ashikstd

Busy Girl.
You're lucky that there were more posts that needed curation otherwise your post might went unnoticed.
I'd suggest you to leave your post link in the newst challenge post if you are late again.
We'll curate from there as well.

Your strategy seemed nice and solid although I'm not that good in this game still I said all those things, lol.
The post is so nice and I liked it very much.
