Can someone tell me why I am the only one being hit with poison near the end of the match?

The answer is simple. Your opponent's upgraded "Kelp Initiate" has the "Cleanse" skill, which removed the Poison from their "Gelatinous Cube". 👍

I also watched your battle until the end at Round 26 where I saw that your "Sea Monster" lost against the opponent's Gelatinous Cube, primarily because of their high accumulated Hit Points from their "Scavenge" skill plus their "Heal" skill. 🕵️

They weren't getting damaged by the poison effect. I am pretty sure the poison should effect all of them, unless a monster/summoner has the cleanse ability. Which is the only reason why I lost. There was no damage for the poison. Not sure if you saw that part.

I just said that the Kelp Initiate of your opponent Cleansed the Poison from their Gelatinous Cube. Not sure if you saw that part.

Also, only saw the one response at first. So, you mean to tell me that cleanse during a poison round cancels poison for the entire round? Hmmm. That just doesn't make sense. Cleanse should only be affective if the monster with cleanse is still alive. Good to know though. TY

(Edited)

The Poison effect is applied only at the start of the round. That means if the Monster with Poison is Cleansed or Resurrected, the Monster will lose the Poisoned effect. It does not matter if the Monster who Cleansed (or Resurrected) the Monster with Poison is still alive or not.

The ruleset has "Noxious Fumes", where according to the description, "All Monsters start the battle Poisoned".
