Student Trying To Live In A Crypto World - My Introduction To The Hive

Hello everyone! My name is Angelo Devillena but you can call me Peping. I am from Olongapo City in the Philippines . As the title states I am a student who is new in the crypto world. I'm in college and studying Civil Engineering. I am very new in the world of crypto and a bit skeptical if this is the right thing to do.
Due to the pandemic I spend most of my time in the internet; studying via online classes and playing video games with my friends. The news regarding Axie infinity made me think to look into blockchain games and cryptocurrency. And because Axie need a huge investment I research in reddit and found Splinterlands: an NFT card game...I think.
The Splinterlands communty is friendly af. They gave me tips to manage crypto and play the game. The one who introduced me to Hive Blog, Splintertalk, D.buzz, etc. is @shaidon. He is really a great guy. He gave me tips on the game, how to manage crypto and wallet, he even gave me small amount of crypto and cards to start my way. Even today he is still helping and teaching me.
I will mainly do blog and content about Splinterlands in this site. And engage to contents that I fancy and like. My expectation on this site is to have fun while earning a bit of crypto for the future. I hope to have fun in here and be friends with the different communities here. I'm not really active in social media like I'm not fond of them but using Hive blog maybe I can step away in my comfort zone and express myself freely.

Yes, crypto is a good choice. Always do your research into things.
Only invest what you can afford to lose.
There are many tools to use here and it can be a little confusing at first,
but you'll get the hang of it and even show me a few new tricks when you find stuff I hadn't even seen before.
The real benefit of Hive is that there are no gas fees like with Ethereum.
There's a huge community from the Philippines too. :D

For blogging I recommend to use peakd.com, the by far best frontend with the best wallet included (all the Hive-Engine tokens are integrated etc.).
By the way, there are other interesting NTF-based games on Hive like dCity too.
