Splinterlands: Predicting What the Opponent is going to play... prediction went wrong...
Hello Community
images are from the splinterlands game @splinterlands
The key to winning games is to build up a skill to predict what your opponent is going to play...
Sounds easy but not easy to master....
Prediciting
The first step to predict is to look at your opponent's selection for recent games and then to predict what they are going to play.
Lets see:
- Earth
- Dragon
- Dragon
- Earth
- Earth
So I predict that the opponent is going to play Earth or Dragon next. It is highly likely that the opponent could have chosen that because of the different rule sets. However, I am gonna go with Earth or Dragon.
Then I take a look at the opponents splinters. Okay:
- Common use of Lord A - I should avoid Splinters with magic attacks
- Lots of Snipe and Sneak melee splinters in the backline - I should have armored splinters with sneak or snipe to take those out.
- also some Splinters with magic powers inbetween.
I made my selection... in the process of predicting, you can see I only had 4 seconds left. I need to work on this, as I could have just lost the match due to time...
Result?
Observations:
- I guessed right... sort of - it was Earth Splinters. (I predicted either Earth or Dragon)
- The vulture was used in the back
- and 2 magic power splinters
Conclusion?
My set up was terrible, I lost miserably lol...
- The vulture was too fast for my splinters, my sneak monsters were taken out immediately
- My tank is weak to magic attacks and got take out easily
