BTC Betting Results October 2019 (SBC League)
It has been 2 years now since I started sharing selective bets while closely tracking the results in both good and bad times. The State both Steem and Scorum are in right now makes it really hard to grow the SBC community. It all started over 2 years ago with a Monthly Curation List I made adding sports Bettors on Steemit to it in the hope to motivate them to improve and keep going. Right now, something like this would be almost impossible on Steemit because of the non-linear reward curve as everyone trying to support smaller accounts get punished by the current system.
I couldn't be more happy with the core group it brought together even though nearly all interaction moved to the SBC Discord channel. Anyone who is interested in both Betting and/or Crypto is free to come and take a look and join us.
I continue using my blog as a tool and record-keeping remains a big part of it as it really helps to stay sharp. The month of October was a poor one when it came down to the pre-game BTC Bets. I am growing a lot more conservative and most focus right now is on Live-Betting.

Hang in there mate. I must commend you on your discipline and persistance in the face of the difficulties both STEEM and Scorum have been facing. I have not been involved much with SBC (probably because I'm the only guy interested in Australian sports) but I still think it is an excellent initiative. Keep up the good work.
Thanks @buggedout!
Despite some of the fundamental flaws in the entire crypto reward blogging formula, I actually do enjoy having a blog as it really helps to keep me in a certain consistent flow. In that regard, it's quite easy for me to keep it up as it all gives plenty of benefits aside from any of the actual post-earnings.
I strongly believe if communities are ever going to work it will have to be done in a way that keeps them very specified and small (max ~100 members) (For example Australian Sports). Right now, all real community activities are on Discord. The only way I see Steemit working is if the reward pool is replaced by a proof of stake algorithm with a tipping system.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see where it all goes :)
I am a bit wary of Tribes / Communities / SMTs that might just end up walling off communities and building some little insular silos - as that would kill off any cross-pollination between the communities. I for one like to have a toe in a few communities at the same time using the one platform.
However, it is possible that an SMT could be good for SBC to create and control it's own reward system. SMTs are getting closer but I'd still be surprised if they hit production in the next 12 months.
