Alright, so, after 3 previous

updates, we finally have reached the final version, what is actually my submission for this week’s Splinterlands Music/Lore Contest. This version is missing the hihats I added yesterday, as they completely drowned out the high-end at any reasonable volume, and I think it the end the song works much better without them. There is one additional instrument here, so I’ll go through that. If you’re interested in how the song changed/evolved over the last week or so, check out the previous updates:

Listen to Energy Prism (Ver. 4, Final) here.

Track 13 is the new addition,

which comes in over the Outro. As mentioned yesterday, the Outro moves into Ebmajor, for a big, uplifting sort of finish. This synth was a very last minute addition, but wound up having a sort of trumpety-epic-knights-charging-into-battle vibe, lol, so I’m stoked about the results. Regarding the full mix, I think that the snare may be slightly too loud now since I added some effects/plug-ins, but when I dropped the volume ever so slightly, it got lost, as the mix is so jam packed with synths towards the end. Overall, I’m stoked with the outcome, and really like how this song changed by allowing myself multiple days to sort of mull it over, instead of a single timed challenge like I’ve been doing for these contests.

Track 13, described above.

Hope you like the final results! Support the other contestants here with some upvotes!

oh yeah! that slow, menacing build up and then what sounds like victory in the second half! Great stuff!

thanks! I was really stoked with how the build ups turned out. That was sort of a happy accident, haha.
