So this song doesn't use

any of the usual VST suspects from my previous Splinterlands' tunes, opting inside for an entirely synthetic/electronic sound. I wanted it to have a floaty, ambient, soundscapey sort of vibe, but when I added the drums and bass, it got really groovy, so I decided to keep those in. Most of the sounds are from Native Instruments' sets 'Ethereal Earth', along with a few others from a set of creepy toy samples, which, when you mess with the settings, have a more ambient and less percussive sound. I figured the floaty/ambient thing would be good for evoking a misty, magical forest, hence the title.

It'll be a bit difficult

to go through track by track and describe them, as they're a bit too complex (nothing like "these are strings, that's a piano"). Track 1 is used as the basis for the entire song, while other tracks only occur over certain segments, which we'll call A (Blue in Track 1), B (Purple, Track 1) and C (Yellow/Grey/White/Whatever that color is, lol, also in Track 1). Track 2 only comes in over the A section, Tracks 3, 4 and 8 only are used for the B sections, Track 8 only over the C section, and Tracks 5, 7 (drums) and 9 (bass) over each section, around 1/3 into the tune.

Track 9, Bass, A section.

Hope you like the song! I think it definitely could use some more work, with some mixing changes here and there, and maybe a few fixes to the harmony at times, but there're some ideas here I like.
