#NewSteem's Reach To Bid Bots - Another one bites the dust!
#newsteem hasn't been around for too long, but I have seen a few interesting things. Here are a few things that I've heard about/seen over the past couple of weeks since the EIP has gone into effect:
What's happened:
- SmartSteem Goes Manual - SmartSteem now does 100% manual curation. Instead of bidding, you can burn STEEM to @null in return for them checking out your post. It doesn't guarantee a vote, but I've got a couple through this method. It's awesome to see that such a big service decided to do this.
- @trafalgar stops posting and upvoting on his alternate accounts, which post "shitposts" (@raindrop and @traf). This shows that the EIP has disincentivised at least some whales from their old behaviours.
- @haejin stops his posting and self-voting bots:
They were purely designed and well-aimed to push the "buttons" of the trolls. These bots are no longer needed because the parameters of the new Steem now enables revitalization of everyone's original and good intent. Still, the downvote drama and caca throwing that took place were at the very least...evolutionarily entertaining to some degree. LOL!
- @berniesanders takes a lot of convincing to get back into STEEM
- @steemmonsters bot is scheduled for turn off and they're going back into manual curation.
We hope to encourage quality posts about our game to be written and receive rewards for it. We recognize that it likely means we'll lose delegations in part because we don't like the alternative system of simply upvoting delegators and it's not enough business to justify figuring out a system of selling packs for delegations.
So, overall?
I think this is a great leap in the right direction for STEEM. If we can get people who have been for a long time set in their ways to at least consider changing, isn't it worth a try!
I actually thought about writing this when I saw the STEEM Monsters/Splinterlands Update. I'm really looking forward to powering up more because I truly believe #newsteem is going to compound these effects. If you know anything else that has happened due to this, please let me know!

hi @cadawg
it seem that you're optimistic about recent hf21 and results?
So far indeed changes after latest forks are going in right direction. Let's see how users behaviours will change within next months.
Upvote on the way :) Catch

Damn. You got me on the one thing I'm crap at - catching 😁🤣😅
Yeah, I'm more optimistic than most. There's been a lot of negativity in some servers I'm in and people have stopped posting, but I'm not giving up (even though I've been hit with a few downvotes)
#OldSteem is dead. Long live #newsteem (and #newnewsteem)
Thanks,
Conor
The EIP so far seems to be working. I am seeing more manual curation and positive vibes in general. Hope this will continue and lead Steem to new heights
Yeah. Same. Viva la #newsteem
Hi @cadawg
I share your optimism. If I believe that the changes and the new application of the HF21 has been for the best of the system, I recently sent Steem to @null and they reviewed my publication, and they liked it very much.
Calro sole focus on English publications, however there are a lot of users that we write in Spanish and that type of publication does not see them, so they are still undervalued and I know there are good writers and people who make good content in Spanish .
I also hope that this changes for the better, and that the publications in Spanish can be experienced.
From Venezuela, a country that fights for its freedom sent you a big fraternal hug.
Yeah, we are still in the early stages, and I'm sure with time we will gain a wide range of curators across languages. As you say, SmartSteem only support English Posts at the moment.
All the best,
~ @cadawg
@cadawg,
And also new bot projects were introducing here for manual curation as well!

Hello my dear @cadawg, very good information.
Apparently interesting things are happening friend, that we are going in the right direction, I am getting to think so. I agree with you and I think it is worth the effort and continue navigating in this wonderful ecosystem.
Thanks friend, great post.
@fucho80
Yes. Certainly. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out, especially once all the dust is settled.
I think it's a big step that the curative accounts become manual. This will give more opportunity to new and novice accounts and possibly a new vision for Steemit and thus not only improve the content of it but also value the post that really should be valued.
Let's see how it goes...
Thanks for sharing 😊
Yes, definitely. We need to encourage new people to join.
Have a great day,
~ @cadawg
Thanks for the news.
I share what @lanzjoseg says, he recommended me and explained how to post to the @null account and I also think that working with different languages would be good for the platform.
This may be a bit complicated now that it will become: "100% manual curation", but considering the penetration that steem has in the world, I think it would benefit all participants.
The @null initiative is only headed by one team at the moment. Maybe other people will watch @null for transfers in their native language eventually.
Thanks for the comment,
~ @cadawg
Well, because I have seen on the front some publications in English, in Spanish, in Korean, in Chinese and I think I saw in other languages that I could not recognize, which tells me that there are many users from different parts of the world.
That's good, considering that some of the markets with the largest number of potential network users are in countries like China, India and Brazil. Besides that I think I remember that among the three most used languages on the Internet were Spanish and Russian (I don't remember in what order)

Yup!
Let the good news follow!
These are samples of positive things that the new update brought. We still have to work on several things, one at a time.
Yeah. It's a good start!
It's hard to keep up with all these new technologies. They advance like machines and our speed is still human.
👍
@cadawg, In my opinion Steem Ecosystem was waiting for all these changes and everything is happening as destined. Specially Organic and Natural Curation now became the priority, which will going to change the face of Steem Blockchain. Stay blessed.
