It has been a while since I assessed the progress of how my Collection is going these days as the ecosystem around and within the game continues to evolve. Some of the changes have been disruptive as of late and many continue to argue the impacts of these decisions but I have continued to play and invest resources into the game. In fact, I believe that without risk, there is no reward so I have even participated in the capital raise of the founders given the encouraging metrics I continue to experience and see in many of the statistics we see over time.

My Collection continues to grow past what is needed to remain competitive which has made me consider going farther with it to hold and eventually develop opportunities with the Collection. Whether it be selling extra cards or renting others for passive income, I think the opportunity over the long term is great given what we have seen in only two years. The reality is that the game is only in the beginning of its development and while not everything will go perfect, the developers have a great working relationship with the community and has done a great job in integrating feedback to improve the player experience over time.

Discord Value June 20.png

I have already lost count of the amount invested in the game but considering the values that I continue to get from the different communities that compile the data of the market and prices, I feel that the value of the assets demonstrate the long term potential of disrupting the gaming industry with Blockchain assets. Even as we look into the public equity markets where the value of some game developers and publishers have risen given the attention gaming has received due to the demand for more of the population remaining at home, the execution will be the challenge given adoption within Blockchain always being a tough hurdle.

Peakmonster Value June 20.png

As a completionist, I am currently watching the newest Mystery Potion card, the Mighty Dricken. Currently priced over $250, it is a bit pricey for its attributes. It has also been more difficult to purchase cards on the market these days as the shift between Blockchains has limited the currencies accepted to Credits and Dark Energy Crystals (DEC). However, Credit must be purchased and DEC is an asset I am accumulating for the future so I am hesitant to purchase at the moment. I know I will eventually get my hands on one though. If you have one you want to sell, feel free to DM me on Discord!

DEC June 2020.png

As I mentioned, I have been buying DEC in the markets in addition to holding on to my earnings from ranked and tournament play. One of the next launches to come to the game will be lands so I intend on purchasing some to leverage my assets into the future. While I am still unsure how it will all work, I feel that the developers have got great ideas on how to leverage the ecosystem to create value over the long term for the game. I still feel I need to accumulate more so most of my purchases have been in DEC as of late!

Pack Inventory June 2020.png

Since my Collection is almost complete at the level I need it to be for competing in ranked and tournaments, I have not been opening any packs. This inventory of packs is another potential source of income in the future as they become more valuable to their potential content given how scarce cards fro previous Editions become over time. The card economy has been a great approach the developers have made and helped early adopters improve their Collection values over time. They have continued to adjust the economy as the community has grown which continues to prove their dedication to the future of the game.

The prior pack purchases have also continued to allow me to get more cards via the Air Drops they have been issuing after every 100k packs of Untamed sold. The latest Air Drop, which featured the latest Legendary Summoner from the Life Splinter, yielded me a lucky drop of 11 cards! This was great as it has been the best Air Drop received so far as it was exactly enough to combined them for a maximum level card which is helpful for the best Divisions and Tournaments available. In all, the game continues to develop and grow to give participants a great and engaging experience!

Nice progress, so that collection must have been worth around $20K two weeks ago?

What do you think about the whale-dump, any ideas on what the bottom is going to be for those Beta cards that no one's buying?!?

It has been much higher for sure but luckily most of my Collection is Alpha which has some additional benefits in the long term as well as being more scarce. I think the whale dump should not have been surprising and is currently an opportunity for those who want to add to their Collection. In the end we need players to promote the game and not people who have a large chunk of the cards outstanding.

It's interesting to watch the prices, people are buying the commons, not so much the legendaries.

I've picked up a few cards myself, my Earth Deck has never looked better, finally got myself a Swamp Thing, and I'm also very happy with my new maxed gold dragon.

I don't think they'll come down much further, and it's interesting that the Untamed prices haven't been affected that much.

I'm not especially worried by the sell-off.
