My Splinterlands battle with Earthquack rule.

Hello, Steemians!

How are you all ? I am well and hope that you all are fine. Today I am here to share my Splinterlands battle where the ruleset was "Earthquake".

@Splinterlands is hosting a contest named "Share your battle" and I am gonna participate that contest with this post. That's why I am sharing this battle with you. If you want to participate to that contest, simply go to @splinterlands blog and you will find it.

Splinterlands team also asked some questions that I have to answer and I am answering them one by one. Let's start :-

  • In this battle the combat rule was Earthquake and mana cap was 27. In the Earthquake rule all cards will receive +2 melee damage except cards with Flying ability. I love Fire Splinter most and that’s why I invested some steem in this splinter. But for this battle Fire was unavailable and that's why I choose Death Splinter because there were some good range cards and I have Selenia Sky. So I choose Selenia and Death splinter. I placed Haunted Spirit in the first place because it’s a card with Heal ability and I thought it can give me a good backup. Then I used Fire Spitter because it is both Flying and Range card and you know Selenia increases +1 range only. After that I used Twisted Jester because it’s a range card with snipe ability. Then I placed Lightning Dragon because it is both Flying and range card. Also it has high damage and high speed. After that I used Haunted Spider because of it’s Range attack and in the last I used Creeping Ooze because of it’s Slow ability.

  • I won't say my strategy was good because I don’t have good amount of Flying cards but yeah my strategy worked and I won the match. Though the match was so hard and finished with Fatigue. I hardly see Fatigue on battles.
With this ruleset nothing to try different next time without good Flying cards. May be I need to have some good amount Flying cards for this ruleset.

  • I literally hate this ruleset. Maybe this ruleset is not much harmful for the Champion league players but it is so disgusting for the beginners, bronze and silver league players. My favourite rulesets are Melee Mayhem and Super Sneak.

You're totally right: this ruleset (earthquake) is brutal at lower levels.

However, your lineup was quite good. The other guy even had higher level cards than you, but because of you paying attention to the ruleset- you won.

And fatigue is there for the very reason it was used. Both of your were left with flying ranged attacks. In my mind, when this happens, I imagine the two just dancing around, not firing, until they just get tired. LOL! Basically, I think that's what happens.
You ending with your dragon made it so you were definitely set to win.

Thanks for sharing and playing!
