Splinterlands Card Giveaway

Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for almost two years, so new players can only get them in the market, and that can be pretty expensive. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.

This Week's Giveaway

For this week's Blast From The Past Giveaway, I'm giving away this Level 1 Rusty Android card.

Can any monster be said to have a sadder life's story than the Rusty Android? Engineered by Splinterlands Labs and turned out by the thousands on the assembly lines of Gobson Factories, they immediately fell out of favor when it was found that they rusted quickly due to an inferior metal alloy used in their production. Rather than joining a class action lawsuit against the Gobson family, many owners simply decided to send their Rusty Androids to be melted down in exchange for a payment of 15 Dark Energy Crystals.

Years later, rumors of a Land Rush in Praetoria had the few remaining owners of these Rusty Androids excited at the idea of the free labor they would provide working the newly acquired land. But before the Land could be claimed and the workers turned loose to reap the benefits, the Chaos Legion invaded Splinterlands and utilization of Land was pushed back for another year or more.

Sadly, the newly polished, oiled and charged Androids were put back in the cellars and storage units. Once again they were left, forgotten and rusting. Not too surprisingly, a level 1 Rusty Android can once again be found on the Splinterlands market for under a dollar. As of this writing, you can purchase a Rusty Android for as little as $0.79 if you are interested in obtaining one.

If you are just starting out and haven't been able to add a Rusty Android card to your deck or just need another one to level yours up, then you should get in on this giveaway. This card will be sent to one lucky winner when this contest closes at post payout time. If this Rusty Android card doesn't fit in with your master plan for Splinterlands domination, or if you lack the skill and wisdom necessary to achieve victory with it, you can always rent it to someone else or try to sell it in the market.
