Share Your Battle, Weekly Challenge, Bullseye of Pizza with the Xenith Archer!

This time, it is one of my favorite cards from Chaos legion, the Xenith Archer is a great addition to any splinter, since it is a neutral card, it has many uses!

The presentation of the card, Xenith Archer:

The Xenith Archer is a great card to add to any fight, at only 2 mana, it is a filler card, but it can still have an impact on the outcome due to the ranged damage, such as in this fight.

The ruleset on this one was low, with only 24 mana
Noxious Fumes: All Monsters start the battle poisoned.

Monsters fall fast in this one, so an extra buffer is always nice!
Here is the quick link to the battle: (Link) however, I will break it down, then you might want to watch again.

First up, the Summoner:

I had a couple of things going with this fight, my focus for the day was fire, so you have to count that into the equation, but also the fire splinter is great to use in the Noxious Fumes ruleset, as I will get into with the cards. The other great thing about Tarsa is the additional melee damage, but also the additional health, it helps the monsters survive longer in the ruleset.

The front line was the Disintegrator:

I really do like the Disintegrator, the demoralize ability is a great way to decrease the damage the other team might do, but in this case, it has decent armor and health, knowing I would take the poison off, it made it an okay choice to have up front, to hopefully live long enough to have the poison knock the other team down.

The Chemist is a very important card in this rule set, even though it does not do damage, it has the cleanse ability, which will take the poison off of my front line monster, allowing them to live longer.

Next up, the Forgotten One:

This monster is never forgotten with me and the Noxious Fumes ruleset, the Immunity ability is awesome, it does not become poisoned like many of the other cards. That is so important to have in the lineup, it allows the other team to become weakened with poison, while not going down. I like to put it in the middle of a lineup during these rules because it becomes a big hitter with 5 damage later in the fight, at full strength.

Next is the Xenith Archer, the filler but also the ranged damage, plus protecting the back of the Forgotten One so that it can hit harder later in the fight.

This is another filler card to protect the backline, I know that it will die the first round, but if they have a sneak attacker it will take out this monster and protect my other monsters, if they do not have a sneak attack, it dies in the first round. A good gamble for 0 mana.

My strategy did work this time, even though I ended up going against a water magic deck, my choice of tank could have been different, since the Demoralize ability didn’t help against the enemy with only magic and ranged attacks. However, having the Forgotten One later in the fight allowed him to take out the people that were left pretty quick. Even though it was not the best lineup or choices, it still worked out well for me.

Even though in this fight the Xenith Archer did not add much to the fight, it was still there for a buffer card incase they came at me with sneak but it did give the opportunity to knock out the shields before the Forgotten One, hitting the enemy does not always go in our favor, but allowing that opportunity to happen, that is a good thing. I strongly recommend this card for anyone, at 2 mana, well worth it!
