Mindblast Battle Report : Sand Attack

Sand-Worm.jpg

I now began to like Sand Worm as it could be a game-changer due to its big melee damage. Even this monster is a bit slow still I consider it an effective attacker as it has 5 base melee attack. Currently, I manage to level it up to level 2 and now I see some improvements to this monster. It helps increase its speed which is now 2.

All I need to continue doing for now is to develop my Sand Worm until it reaches level 5 at least, in order to have a much faster speed which increases its effectiveness. But if you have some good findings then making it to level 6 will potentially boost him more unlocking Snare ability which will make him more dangerous as it cannot be missed anymore.

And lastly, the Piercing skill for this monster is the long-awaited one as in level 10 it has 7 base melee damage in which if you got an additional melee attack booster then you could consider him a dangerous monster for the face. The best thing for this monster is that it is common in rarity and there is a huge chance that you can level it up much faster.

In this battle, there is a 50 mana cap in which we could possibly select the best monsters we could get. It would be a fair fight for the two of us as Equalizer is activated in this battle which automatically our monster's health points will adjust to what is the highest health point among our monsters. And secondly, there will be no legendary monsters.

On my side, I choose mostly melee monsters as I know that they can work effectively in such kind of battle modification. As we can see the enemy side almost the same strategy as I perform, he uses three melee monsters but on the other hand two magic attack type monsters.

On his frontline, he put Nectar Queen which is the same as mine wherein we both know that this kind of monster is good as an Earth Splinter frontline. With its 4 melee attack and 3 speed, I would consider that it is a good bargain. I am just hoping I do the first initiate damage so I will have the advantage.

In its second position, he uses Goblin Mech which is really a good melee attacker. It has a Piercing ability which can be an effective against Melee or Range monster that could truly ignore armor. Sand Worm is a big thumbs up on putting it to the third position which I did mine also as it has Sneak attack that could be very effective on attacking against less defended monsters at the back of its formation.

He used also Magi of the Forest which makes it a good magic targetting monster and Mushroom Seer, thinking that he could get benefit by using it. But luckily for me, I used one magic attack monster with 1 magic attack.

And lastly, he put his Mantoid in the last position as a sniper attacking my range or magic monsters.

My Line Up

In my first position, I put Nectar Queen as this monster is one of the solid frontlines in my current cards. With its 4 melee attack and flying ability, it could possibly survive in this battle but since we both use Nectar Queen, I'm hoping that my monster will do the first strike.

I put Goblin Mech in the second position as I consider it as a solid backup to the frontline, just in case my Nectar Queen will not able to handle the mirror fight. Goblin Mech's Piercing ability is a big threat to melee and range type monsters so that's why I am seeing the best position for my Goblin Mech.

Putting the Sand Worm in the third position is a good block off for my remaining magic and range monsters. Aside from having big health points, it has a sneak ability with 5 attack damage which could eliminate instantly enemy monster.

In my fourth position, I put up Wood Nymph to increase my sustainability in battle. With its healing ability, I am sure that my frontline and other front monsters will able to withstand the damages that they will be receiving. As we can see my enemy doesn't use healer so I will put this as an advantage. Just hoping that my healer won't get targetted.

I use Mitica Headhunter on the fifth position as its Snare ability is a good option to lessen the burden of my front monsters and aside from that its ability is surely a hit plus it drops those flying monsters into the ground which I am referring to my enemy Nectar Queen.

And lastly, Cyclops can be really helpful to do additional damage even if it has 1 speed. What matters for me is that the 3 attack range damage could do the task and if he gets targetted its Shield ability would easily reduce damages coming from melee and ranged monsters.

The Battle

image.png

At the start of Round 1, my Summoner started to boosts additional health points to my monsters while his summoner increases two of his magic attack monsters. His Mushroom Seer tries to debuff my Wood Nymph but not anymore possible as it has already 1 magic attack.

My Nectar Queen got heavy damages which prompt its life to drop to 4 but thankfully my Wood Nymph continues to support it by using its healing ability. I can see that my enemy Nectar Queen tries to fight back but luckily my Cyclops didn't give any chance for the Nectar Queen to give me some headache so my Cyclops finish it, making sure that it won't reach to the next round.

My enemy Goblin Mech finishes my Nectar Queen which prompts to face another identical. My Sand Worm, on the other hand, continues to damage Mantoid slowly which helps drops its life points to 2. His Goblin Mech now in a bit trouble as I can see that any sort of attack types of my monsters are continued delivering it a blow.

image.png

In Round 3, I manage to eliminate its Goblin Mech which replaces now his Sand Worm, giving my Cyclops some breath, as I am seeing 7 remaining life points and Wood Nymph can't heal him since only the first position are possible to get healed.

My Sand Worm is never contented, so finishing Mantoid could help weaken the firepower of the enemy, putting the remaining monsters down to three.

image.png

At Round 4, his Goblin Mech tries to do some retaliation on what I do to its comrade but my Wood Nymph always on the go, making sure that all are normal and secured so it keeps healing my Goblin Mech.

A nice combo coming from my Mitica Headhunter and Goblin Mech finishes his Sand Worm which forces entering his magic attack monsters into the front field as they don't have any option.

His two remaining magic monsters cannot bear the big damages that they are receiving as they are not made to be in the frontline, so it's kind of an easy task for my monsters to eliminate them. The battle ends at Round 5 and only one casualty on my side.

My Analysis

The battle is great and fair as most of our melee monsters are identical. But what's weaken him is that he didn't use any healer for sustainability in battle instead he relies on magic attack monsters which are kind of a pointless as the battle modifier is Equalizer which takes time for magic monsters to deal damages.
