Before we begin I use this drawing as a reference point. Mostly the anatomy. I recently practising character drawings for my personal projects. And the most difficult part is getting the anatomy correct. I could use live models for reference for this drawing but its easier to find models on the internet for practise purposes.

If you read my previous blogs , you may notice that i am a big fan of fantasy genre. Huge fan of Tolkien and middle earth. The best part of any fantasy advanture stories is wizards. I like antient and old wizards like Gandalf ( originally immortal higher spirit but in middle earth he is 3000 years old ) Altough I like Harry Potter stories very much, but the story take place in modern era london. I would like to think magical worlds are seperate from our world. So for my love of wizards I decided to draw a magician type character for SplinterLand ( SteemMonster ) as a fan art.

A Good line art is so important. In order to draw a good line art you need to make couple of lose sketches. Every time you sketch you'll define more lines and shapes. In this steps I sketch several layer o define body shape, clothing and accessories. After sketching I make the first line art on top of the sketch. Of course the first line art is not perfect there are lots of lines that need correction. But each layer the drawing will improve.

After the first line drawing, I make another one on top of it. But in this time i draw very carefull and slow. If you are struggling to make smooth lines , you can increase "smoothing" setting on Photoshop. This setting make your pen lines smoother. After I am happy with the line art, I begin to color. I selected couple of colors and make a color palet for myself with lighter and darker shades of the same colors. After the coloring done, I added shadows with darker colors.

And this is how it may look in the game.
I gave him the name "Chain Master"

Great concept for a card for Splinterlands :) I love your design and seeing the process is super cool :D

Really liking that you brought it to the finish with how it might even look like as card, with all the effects and polish <3 Wonderful work :)
