Put the Brakes On: Reverse Speed Rule is in Effect

This is my submission in SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

This week's theme is REVERSE SPEED RULE

Games with REVERSE SPEED rule are indeed a taste changer. The speed is no long an ally, as monsters with high speed becomes more vulnerable and vice versa. Also Slow and Swiftness abilities adversely affect the outcome of the battle.

This is a 29 mana battle with two battle rules, one: REVERSE SPEED and second: EVEN STEVENS. I was foolish enough to ignore reverse speed rule so I used Ruler of the Sea which imparted +1 speed to all my monsters and almost made me lose the battle.

  • I used the SEA MONSTER upfront because it have high attack with good health. And plus it also has Heal ability. Speed: 2.

  • On 2nd position, I used the FURIOUS CHICKEN . Zero mana card, just placed to take the first Snipe or Opportunity attack.

  • On 3nd position, I used the NAGA WINDMASTER. Headwinds ability to counter(reduce) the enemy's ranged attacks.

  • On the 4th position RULER OF THE SEAS was used. A stupid decision indeed, considering it have Swiftness ability, not suitable when the Reverse Speed rule in play.

  • Not many characters in the game have Magic Sneak attack. And CORAL WRAITH is one of them. So to have a decent Sneak attack, I used this card on 5th position. (I haven't seen any one yet using Reflect ability to counter magic Sneak attack).

  • And on the tail, I placed SPINEBACK TURTLE. Best low mana card with decent shield and health to counter melee Sneak attacks. And icing on the cake, it has Thorns ability.

The battle swung from the enemy favor to mine, thanks to the Reverse Speed rule. My initial monsters got killed due to increased speed(thanks to my foolish decision to use RULER OF THE SEAS which had Swiftness ability: +1 speed ). But as soon as RULER OF THE SEAS got killed the tables got turned. SPINEBACK TURTLE, my last card with 1 speed took the last stand and won the battle for me(so difficult to attack).
I am not particularly proud of this battle, as it is certainly not one of my best. But I shared it because it has so many lessons to teach about REVERSE SPEED rule.

LOL reverse rule and you used ruler of the sea? lucky you won this battle but you have killed the theme just by using ruler of the sea as it increases the speed of fellow monsters
